Stephen The Levite - Redeem Your Thoughts

What can I say about Stephen The Levite? It's so much. To give you a feel of what to expect when you hear Stephen's album, "To Die Is Gain", I once asked a fellow emcee did they like Stephen's rhyme skills and they said when they listen to his album they have to have a pad and pen handy because homeboy takes you to theology school for real. Put it this way, if the GZA was to get saved today and spend the next year studying God's word, he would come back spittin' just like Stephen The Levite.

Just to add Levite to your name is deep in itself and I'm going to end this lens with the very meaning behind Stephen The Levites name:

"In the Jewish tradition, a Levite is a member of the Hebrew tribe of Levi. When Joshua led the Israelites into the land of Canaan, the Levites were the only Israelite tribe who received cities but no tribal land "because the Lord the God of Israel himself is their possession".[1] The Tribe of Levi served particular religious duties for the Israelites and had political responsibilities as well. In return, the landed tribes were expected to give tithe to the Levites, particularly the tithe known as the Maaser Rishon or Levite Tithe."

Following God's Master Plan

Stephen The Levite is living proof that God rewards and provides for those who step out on faith and follow His call. Originally born in Southern California, Stephen the Levite met muzeONE at Bible College where they joined Redeemed Thought. Sensing God's leading them to re-locate in Philadelphia, they packed up MuzeOne's car and travelled cross-country to the East Coast, where they were immediately embraced by the Holy hip-hop community. In 2005, RT independently released their debut album, "Truth, Beauty, Goodness", a rich blend of underground west coast lyricism and Biblical depth. In 2006, Stephen the Levite hooked up with Lamp Mode and dropped his solo project, "To Die is Gain", a critically-acclaimed lyrical masterpiece. Future plans include receiving hate mail for making controversial statements about false teachers as well as starting a Christian hardcore thrash metal band.
