Just noticed my blessing wasn't showing from earlier in the week, fixed that!

I think the nature around Seattle is so serene. Combine that with the great bay and progressive attitude and food of the city and any young person should want to live there.

I was born in Seattle and was at the Space Needle on opening day of the World's Fair.
Yet regretably, I lived in Washington State until I was one year old.

Interesting and scenic. My son moved to Seattle two years ago from Michigan and he loves it there. I am sad, but he is happy. Oh well~

Seattle is located in one of the very few U.S. states I have yet to visit, so seeing this city through the eyes of a new resident was as if I had just this moment arrived. Thank you for my Seattle introduction!

Seattle looks lovely, even the parts we usually don't see on postcards.

Honk honk! Not been there but think I'd love it! Always wanted to visit since the grunge scene of the 90's

Congrats on your Purple Star. Seattle is indeed beautiful and one of our favorite cities. Our seasons and the weather on the island are similiar. It always feels like home when we travel to Seattle.

Thanks for sharing. I too relocated to the west coast. Everyone warns you about the rain, but no one mentions the glorious summers. Keeping it a secret, I think.

I remembered my "step into Seattle" just recently and when the "back to school" bus tour for angels was announced, I wanted to make sure I returned and added my blessing today :)

I miss Seattle and the Pacific Northwest! I lived on the peninsula (near Kingston) and near Everett (Arlington & Sultan). The views were to die for, loved the ferry rides, visiting Victoria, B.C., school clothes shopping at North Gate and South Center, field trip to Underground Seattle and of course, Seattle Center!

Thanks for bringing back some memories!

I've been to Seattle once on a business trip...so I really only touched the surface, but I do remember the fish market and the guys throwing the fish. It was a fun afternoon. It was clear they enjoyed their jobs!!

Exquisitely unique, I love seeing Seattle through your eyes and stories. I have been there once and loved it, we went to the fish market, and took a ferry ride across the Puget sound. They have some awesome hospitals there too, that saved our cousins life. Great lens!

Wonderful lens! Though I live in the Midwest, I grew up in that area. I remember when I visited my family for Christmas about six years ago. 36 inches of snow fell. It was unbelievable since I don't remember much snow when I was a kid there.

Seattle seems to have its fair share of blossoming trees. I can only imagine what the Spring must be like there, not to mention the Autumn. I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to visit Seattle, or any other place in Washington, but this armchair tour has at least given me a glimpse.
  • Jewelsofawe Dec 15, 2009 @ 11:46 pm | delete
