Grab your khakis mate and don them on November 15 as a tribute to Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter, Wildlife Warrior and Passionate Conservationist.
November 15 was chosen by Steve's wife Terri Irwin as a commemorative day to honor the life of her late husband. The day will involve many things Steve was passionate about including his khaki clothes, the Australia Zoo and camping.
Suggested family activities including wearing khaki and camping in the backyard. (Camping may be a bit more difficult for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere.) There are many other ways of getting involved.

Steve Irwin Day on November 15 will be a day for remembering the one and only Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin. The day will represent the many things Steve was passionate about; family, wildlife and FUN. You can get involved in a number of ways including visiting Australia Zoo for an action packed day, having a Backyard Campout or donning your khakis for Khaki Day. All proceeds raised from these activities will go to Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors Worldwide.

Benefits the Humane Society of the United States
This lens benefits the work of the Humane Society of the United States Disaster Disaster Services team.The team responded to the recent California Wildfire emergency by sending in HSUS staff and National Disaster Animal Response Team volunteers to rescue, shelter and then provide veterinary care to hundreds of animals displaced by the California fires, particularly those in San Diego.
It is also my contribution for the Squidoo Fire Aid Challenge in the category of the Humane Society.
