Geeks are in this Halloween! Get costumes of these three famous computer geniuses - Apple figurehead Steve Jobs, Facebook inventor Mark Zuckerberg, and Microsoft mogul Bill Gates. Steve Jobs Costume

The Apple Guy's Trademark Outfit

I've never seen Steve Jobs of the recent years dress up in anything other than his favorite black mock turtleneck (by St. Croix), round-framed eyeglasses, Levi's 501 jeans, and New Balance shoes. The outfit has been ingrained in the memories of most people, so people will very quickly recognize who you are a mile away! His turtleneck is not very tight on him, and it's tucked inside a pair of straight-cut Levi's 501 jeans (no belt). He wears black socks and a pair of New Balance shoes (the exact model is below!) He has a balding head with just a very short patch of gray hair at the back and a couple of facial hair on the chin but you can also consider coming as the younger version of Steve Jobs; in which case, you need a nice brown wig.

For the final touch, consider carrying an iPod or other Apple gadget on your hand.

To the right is a diagram of a Steve Jobs outfit. Below are the exact brands he wears.

Rest in Peace, Steve Jobs

Cheers to the Visionary

Steve Jobs was not only a genius. He was a visionary. He was a leader. When I wrote this article initially, it was just a day after he announced his resignation and I was certain that a lot of people were going to celebrate him through Halloween costumes, which is why I wrote this article. Now the reason to celebrate him is even more compelling.

Post here to pay tribute to one great mind.

Steve Jobs has Resigned as CEO of Apple!

What are the implications?!

Just this August 25, 2011, Steve Jobs announced his resignation as the CEO of Apple partly due to medical reasons. He is still the chairman of the company but the after-hours stock prices of Apple fell down by 5% after the news broke, which seems to imply that people's trust in the company has wavered about. What do you guys think? Do you think the future of Apple will be affected? As long as he's part of the company marketing the products and driving the consumer product line, won't this be enough to sustain the business?

Write your predictions below!

My prediction

Apple will still be strong as long as Steve Jobs has some role in the company.

Appleholic, at 7am on September 2, 2011 predicts:

I think the Apple brand has already established itself as one of the best in the biz so it's gonna take a lot of mistakes to peg it down. Steve Jobs has done a lot of GREAT work to lead the company to where it is today and I think it should be fundamentally sound :P At least I hope, I need my constant Apple fix after all!

Mark Zuckerberg Costume

The Facebook Founder is still Young at Heart

One of the youngest famous geeks (and billionaires), he still has that college look to him, which makes him a fun person to dress up as. His most defining characteristic is his curly carrot top. There aren't any wigs out there that look exactly like it, so I suggest getting one of the wigs I show below, trimming it up a bit, and use a bit of orange dye on it (not too much! You don't want to attract TOO much attention at the costume party). You can wear a Harvard hoodie or a Facebook shirt, then pair it with a pair of jeans and, of course, a pair of Adidas sandals.

Jesse Eisenberg meets Mark Zuckerberg

The actor meets the billionaire

In the recently shown, Oscar-nominated "The Social Network", the cute Jesse Eisenberg played the billionaire, and Jesse gets an unexpected surprise when he meets Mark himself. Check out the encounter below! "Awkberg!"

Bill Gates Costume

The Microsoft Chairman

Bill Gates' outfit is more business traditional. He's normally seen in a business suit or wearing a pullover over a dress shirt with some dress pants, a professional looking belt, and some business formal shoes. To get the point across you can also stick a Microsoft logo on your pullover, or wear a Microsoft shirt instead.

"Geek" ain't a bad thing

The rising trend

Geek. Nerd. Dork. What's the difference? For one thing, the latter two have more of a negative connotation, while the word "geek" implies more on a person who is so adept in the field of computers or someone who is eccentrically devoted to a certain thing. And if your devotion leads to inventions and developments, fame and fortune, how bad can that be?

With hit shows like "Big Bang Theory" and the "IT Crowd", it's safe to say that the "geek trend" is continuously on the rise.
