A Lot of Things

This lens has been written to give you the reader an idea of who THIS Steve Crenshaw really is and what he may be up to. There are a lot of Steve Crenshaw's running around out there. There is a Doctor right here where I live, and the one with the best google ranking is a blues guitarist. There are Steve Crenshaw's all over facebook. But This lens is about me. I write, I blog, I speak on Christian Discipleship, I'm a Husband and I'm a father.

If your interested, keep reading adn see wh I really am.

I'm A Christian

Wow That's Real Brave

I started out telling you that I am a Christian because that is my being. No I am not some weird nut job who hangs out on the street corner and yells at traffic to repent or go to hell. I am however proud of my Christianity just as you should be if you are one. I know the outlook for Christianity is not good as far as the world is concerned. But I believe Jesus really did die for our sins and no other religion can offer that. Do we yell to much and tell other people what to do? Sure we do, but look at how you respond when you find out one of your friends is going to church or has accepted Christ as their savior.

I'm a really nice guy that loves people. The biggest problem I have is with people in the church most of the time. I follow a passage in the bible where Jesus talks about sowing seeds. He does not tell us we will make the seeds grow in peoples lives, he tells us to plant, and he will take care of the rest. The church as a whole has lost site of this one small fact and many people think it is our job to make non-Christians believe.

Look at it this way. We may be looked at in a different light in a few years so get on the band wagon before it is the popular thing to do. :)

A Husband

I Know, I Chose Deep Topic Headings

Many people who know me look at this and say how, and others say she is just a brave soul. It is hard to believe but Katy and I have been married for 14 years now, and we are still in as much love as we were when we married. I married the perfect woman who enjoys going to sporting events with me and watching Razorback football on T.V. She is a convert to the Razorbacks, she was born a Notre Dame fan. She couldn't help that, she was a German Catholic form Indiana, com'on.

She's a strong Christian who understands people through God's eyes and loves them unconditionally. Katy has been a nurse for 15 years and loves her job more than any person I know. She is a leader in her profession and is growing into that role more and more. She is patient but firm, kind but strong. She lives to know her savior more and to give back what she has to help others become the people they can be.

Marriage Tip! Guys, listen up! you should help out around the house because it pays dividends. If I were smarter I would have started doing it along time ago.

What More can I say about being a husband. It is a good gig and I hope I can continue to improve at it until I die.

A Father

Could Have Figured That Out...

I am a father to Jake and Michael. Jake is 9 and Michael is 6. They are two great kids and this is the best time of their lives to help mentor them as they grow.

As with most kids we play video games on the weekends and they kill me on the Wii. You would think I could master that thing at some point. Jake plays soccer and has wanted to since he was four. He plays for the Red Dragons he has been playing for two years and just loves the game. Michael has just started playing flag-football. Just like Jake, Mike told us at four years old he wanted to play football so we will let him until he decides otherwise. He said he wanted to play hockey this winter but he doesn't know how to skate so he has to wait.

They love the Jacksonville Zoo and St Augustine Alligator Farm. We have year passes to both places. I don't know what it is about boys and 15 foot crocodiles or Komodo Dragons. They just go together I guess.

We Support:

Grameen Foundation uses microfinance and innovative technology to fight global poverty and bring opportunities to the world's poorest people. With tiny loans, financial services and technology, we help the poor, mostly women, start self-sustaining busines

We at Squidoo passionately believe in creating new ways to support good causes online. By making a donation to Grameen Foundation from this page, you are sending money directly to that organization, in whatever amount you want. We don't touch it. We don't even see it. The author of this page doesn't either. And if you made it this far, thanks for caring.

A Squidoo Lens Master

If you are new to Squidoo you need to know one thing. Building Lenses is addictive. I am not an expert on the subject but I have built 14 over the last 2 years. It is more of a hobby than a money making thing for me so I donate all my Squidoo proceeds to the Grameen Foundation. Below is my lens feed and my two favorite lenses.

A Razorback Fan

Woooooo Pig Sooie!!!!!!! Razorbacks!!!!!!!

If you are a college football fan, and have never heard the Arkansas Razorback fans call the Hogs; you may not be a college football fan. I remember as a kid, we could be doing anything and at the first hint of wooo... we would drop everything. I could be mowing the yard on Saturday morning and as soon as the football game came on I would leave the lawnmower where it sat and run to the house to watch the game with my grandmother.

Many teams have fans; but none have anything like the Hog call.

Hi Steve! Steve Crenshaw here (the blues guitarist), nice bio. I too am a proud christian, father, sinner, loser and winner. Life is a long journey. I agree in planting seeds but I prefer deeds and actions as this is a non-listening era. Cheers! Steve

Hey Steve nice to hear from you. I am glad there are people out there like you planting seeds, and doing deeds. You are right about the non-listening era I think the more we show the more seeds get planted.

Steve, it is great to meet you and read about you and your family. We homeschooled our two sons, too, so I wholeheartedly endorse your lifestyle (not that it matters what I think - you are obviously following God's will!). Blessings to you and a hearty welcome to Squidoo!
