Why I Failed is a website, blog and in the works book project. The official title: "Why I failed in the music business and how NOT to follow in my footsteps" pretty much says it all.
After the collapse of my professional music career I got a "real job" at a company. In the process, and ever since, I've learned skills and principles that WOULD have changed my music career had I known about them then. So, I've started this project to share these ideas with musicians so they can reach their dreams.

My "Real World" Job
The main part of my story is my transtion from "the arts" to the "real world". So, here's some info on what I'm doing for a living.
On October 22, 2001, I joined the tech support team at Nashville based Inspection Solution. IS is a provider of vehicle inspections to the lease, rental fleet and wholesale vehicle marketplace.
This has proven to be a tremendous opportunity for me in every respect. As you'll see below, I've had different roles and responsibilities and the company has invested in much in my education and growth.

Wrong is the wrong word, but I am NOT this Steve Grossman!
I had a relatively successful music career and there is stuff about me on the web. However, there's another Steve Grossman - a jass saxophone player - who has had a VERY successful career. You'll find info about him all over the place.
In fact, most of the articles about things I was involved with eventually link to him. Which is pretty funny seeing that he's older and doesn't play drums.
