HERE'S WHAT I THINK
Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter, risked his life many times in close contact with dangerous animals. Many feel he was a gift to wildlife, an entertainer, an inspiring risk-taker and funny to watch.
There are others who contend that the freak attack which claimed his life was due to his disrespect for the unpredictability of wild creatures, avoidable and ultimately his own fault.
Where do you stand?
YOUR TURN!
Did Steve Irwin deserve to die?
Fetching blurbs now... please stand byHe knew the risks, and took them anyway. For money, for glory, for whatever -- he left his children fatherless.

I know a fair bit about adhd, and he certainly fit that description. If you read the book that terri wrote, she tells how he was vidoeing her, while driving to the hospital when she was in labour. She told him to put the video down, but no luck. She clearly lived her life, to go along with whatever he did or said. She still is. He was very controlling and set in his ways. He was an adrenilin junky, with an undiagnosed adhd, but a wonderful person indeed. He is missed dearly.

yes he did, theres a difference between taking an interest in animals and scaring the shit out of them,
wild animals are wild for a reson, let them beg

if he cared so much about animals why did he always scare and upset them by scaring them and try to pick them up?

steve says:
yes he deserve to die. Its his fault for harassing the animals by touching them making them feel uneasy. it aint the stingrays fault for steve irwins stupidity by taunting and grabbing it. Its natural for stingrays to feel scared cause of that

So many people were surprised by Steve's "untimely" death & his friends claimed that his fatal attack was unprovoked. Yeah, right! Did you ever see this guy when he wasn't antagonizing a deadly animal?... ("I'm in complete control mate!")... Not only did he continuously put himself in harms way, but also was starting to put other (innocent) people in harms way as well (his own infant son. Remember that?). His death seemed to me to be anything other than "untimely", and quite possibly a blessing to others. I'm glad that no children had to witness his "untimely" demise.

They don't call them "freak accidents" for nothing -- you're more likely to die in your bathtub than by a stingray.

NO ONE deserves to die.
he's just like any other human who is involved in a carrer with animals. they are unpredictable and he understood that. Think of jockeys. Don't they risk their life everytime they get on a horse? Or Olympic eventers who jump horses over 5ft obstacles? Wildlife veternarians? These people all have families at home. Come on people think about it. Things go wrong sometimes. Such as in Christopher Reeves situation, a horse spooked at a 3ft fence (usually an easy obstacle to clear). Steve Irwin was one the the many people since i was young to inspire me to pursue a carrer to help animals. To critize him over his death is the most disrespectful thing you could do to this man. To hear he left his children fatherless, what kind of comment is that? So a policeman dieing on duty, is an honored death, even though he might have left his children fatherless? But, Steven Irwin continuing his passion for wildlife was wortheless, even if in fact, that his daughter is now only walking in his footsteps? Consider the children, would they want you to say these things about there father?

Steve Irwin DID NOT deserve to die. what happened to him was a freak accident that not even he could see coming. He knew how to handle himself around animals and what happened to him just happened its not because he was being stupid or dangerous. All I can say now is that we lost a Great Hero you will be missed Steve

Steve Irwin has always said if anything goes wrong it's his own fault. So sure maybe some can say it's his fault but he doesn't deserve to die. He did nothing but help animals and help preserve land. he even donated a million dollars a year to charity. why would anyone say he deserved to die? who would put Steve Irwin with the ranks of Hitler?

I loved Steve Irwin, he had a delightful way of introducing us to his love of animals. I haven't watched any of his shows since his death. It just makes me sad. We all take risks in live, that shouldn't stop us from enjoying the time we have on Earth.

Steve Irwin death was unfortunate; however, as freeleif said, it was just his time to go. I personally enjoyed his shows. Steve died doing exactly what he loved and he probably wouldn't change a thing about what he did. He lived his life to fullest, while educating the world about the importance of wild life to nature's balance. Thank you Steve.

Steve Irwin made a mistake that cost his life. He did not deserve to die. His reality since childhood was being closer to animals than most would care to be. We all makes choices in life, some are more adventurous than others. But we all should respect the life we have and take precautions. Because it is not always the other guy, it could be you or me to die.

While I want to be here for my own children, I don't live life in a protected bubble. Life is full of calculated risks. It was his time; could have been a car crash instead, but once your number is up, no running from it. RIP.
