The simply and descriptively titled "Scooter" is a short prose work of only one stanza. This piece uses the medium of a reply to an enquiry on Craigslist, in reference to a Scooter Steve was selling. The question came from one Robert Hope of Jacksonville, FL. It is not known whether Mr Hope purchased the Scooter in question.___________________________________________________________

I rode the scooter from the planet i was born. My friend landed his what you all call UFO in Texas. Someone got scared and left it. That was 1984. Somehow we came upon the original owner's manual and title. I have both. i bought a new battery from Brittney spears 4 days ago. She wrecked hers whacked out on coldtrain, or cokerain, whatever, and was parting hers out to buy some panties. Her and that hotel heiresss ride around in them long cars with no underware on. Ain't that nasty. Anyhow the scooter needs a carb clean; it runs when i squirt stuff in the airfilter. Might need some new gas. I'll throw in a helmet and a shovel. if you dont like it you can bury it, and avoid them ripoff landfill fees. Next time one of your pets dies bury it with the pet. He can ride it to heaven. The front plastic is cracked but its nice and I'm thinkin' of raising the price, i decided to move monday so I's goin' to tinker with it. it's a deal ... did you know that? Thanks for your interest if you want it I just want you to know i don't take 3 party out of state checks.
