A quick introduction 

Jasmine is a common climbing perennial with a strong smelling flower which would be familiar to most if they came across it.

Spanish Jasmine originates from the Himalayas but there has also been evidence of Jasmine being grown in the temples of ancient Egypt although the name actually derives from the Persian word y%u0101sm%u012Bn

The flowers can be seen in paintings of the Italian Renaissance period where it was symbolic of divine love and heavenly happiness.

Used worldwide by the cosmetic industry for it's perfume it is prevalent in herbalism, aromatherapy, wiccan and pagan practises too.
