What are stink bugs?

If you live in Maryland or one of several east coast states you probably are pretty familiar with these ugly brownish bugs that give off a very bad stench when they are agitated or smashed. Although the stink bugs that I've seen in my area are brown, stink bugs have many different color ranging from brown, gray and green. Stink Bugs tend to be shaped like a triangle and their flat back looks a little bit like a shield.

    I'm glad to see more insect lenses being made. I remember seeing these around when I was a kid. Haven't seen any recently.
