Founded by comedian and actor Danny Thomas, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital treats kids with life-threatening illness. Their research in child cancers and other serious illnesses has led the world in developing cures and treatments that save and prolong the lives of kids.
In addition, no child is ever turned away from St. Jude's because of an inability to pay. While they do accept insurance, those without it are still treated.
St. Jude's relies heavily on donations to make its payroll and provide the very expensive medical care these sick children require to get well.
