Well summer is just around the corner. Hopefully this year will bring some hot weather so we can enjoy our beautiful St. Lawrence! If you've never been here, you really must read on to know what you're missing. If you have been fortunate enough to visit this freshwater paradise, I must caution you- this lens will make you long to return...

Ahh, what a day!

There are very few things in life quite as moving as spending the day out on the river. It's nothing that can really be explained, you just have to be there. The fresh smell of the water, seagulls out fishing, it's just so very relaxing and perfect. Nothing compares. I promise, once you try it, the River will call you forever!

Tom Felton from Harry Potter loves the river, too!

If you're a Harry Potter fan, you may want to visit The River in August. Tom Felton and his brother come to the St. Lawrence for the annual carp fishing tournament. Put on your best fishing outfit, and join in.

You have seen this castle on CMT!

Bet you didn't know, but you've already seen Boldt Castle! Jo Dee Messina filmed her "Burn" video here. You can visit Boldt Castle. All of the tour boats from Alex Bay allow you unlimited time to wander through this immense castle and its grounds. It is such a surreal experience to visit- you can just imagine yourself living the life of royalty! The castle is also available for weddings, so if you are in search of the perfect setting- you can't do any better than this.
