Star Trek Online Game

In Star Trek Online you create a character who can be one of the traditionally recognized races from the franchise (Klingon, human, etc) or something new you create using their extensive character creation editor, who quickly finds himself (or herself) in charge of a ship. Gameplay takes you across space, to planets to help, to discover, or to fight, onto other ships in rescue missions, and, of course, there are space battles. They did an amazing job conveying the vastness of space and our smallness in it, and the art is amazing as you can see in the videos.

Leonard Nimoy and Zachary Quinto are two of the most well known voice actors in the game. Nimoy's narration as Spock is just one of the awesome ways STO immerses a player.

One of the things I most enjoy is the difference in landscape and flora of the worlds you beam down upon. It really brings the feel of discovering new planets. And the actual act of your character "beaming" is just too cool.

It's a pay to play game, requiring a monthly subscription. They offer yearly and lifetime options, as well.
