- If you go to a directory like superpages.com you can get a listing of storage facilities near you by putting in a zip code and sorting by distance.

- great tips! one thing I recommend doing is research on income demographics in certain areas before you decide which auctions to visit. Higher income areas mean higher valued goods in storage. You can easily do this by using Hotpad's nationwide income heat map. www.storageunitauctionlist.com has an e-book that also has some great tips on how to make money, and it's free to download. I bought their NC list and have been making money ever since.

- I paid my moola for the book downloads but before all the books could download the page shutdown. How can I get the rest of the books? I was really looking forward to reading this material and now I'm extremely frustrated!

Very nice lens. I like to promote my ebay auctions with this Free eBay Auction Promotion site. I use it all the time and it helps me get more hits to my auctions.

- Thanks much! I went to my first a week ago, didn't buy anything because I'd decided in advance not to unless I definitely saw a profit in the visible items. But several of them went for under $60--I couldn't believe it! I'm glad you mentioned trying to return personal items to the owners. I'd thought about that, but I didn't think about using a third party; I'd use an anonymous email and my UPS store address, just in case the original owners got upset about "losing all their stuff". I'm going to my second one today, and I do NOT plan to sit on my number card!
