So what is the best way to stop debt? There's a few steps you can take to eliminate your credit card debt. This lens page is devoted to helping you get a handle on your debt and making your way towards financial freedom!

5 Ideas to Stop Your Debt

There's several approaches and ideas you can use to reduce and stop debt. These strategies can be effective in easing your stress over credit card companies harassing you, and they also will put you on a path towards financial freedom!

1. Lock credit cards in a safe so you can't use them any more.

2. Sell old items you own on ebay then use the profit to pay down debt.

3. Use the "snowball" effect, working extra hard to pay off your lowest balance credit card first. After that is payed off, apply the extra money to your next lowest credit card, and so forth.

4. Pay the most towards your highest interest credit card first. Paying off that card will save you more money in the long run, as you will avoid high finance and interest charges.

5. Get another job, either part-time or by starting your own home business. This extra money can be applied to your credit card debt problem to help speed up the payoff!
