My Story - and Maybe Yours Too

In order to stop the terrible panic attacks, I first decided to learn as much about them as I could. I learned that a panic attack is "a sudden episode of intense fear that develops for no apparent reason and that triggers severe physical reactions."

Panic attacks can be very frightening. When panic attacks occur, you might think you're losing control, having a heart attack or even dying.

But what does this have to do with me? What am I so afraid of? What is it that wakes me up in the middle of the night with a pounding heart? How can I Stop My Panic Attacks?

Stop My Panic Attacks NOW

Is it a heart attack? Am I dying?

You're heart is pounding and it feels like it's going to burst right out of your chest.
Your hands are cold and tingling yet your body is covered with sweat
Your can't think clearly and your thoughts race in circles.
You feel like your suffocating - you're breathing hard and fast, but shallow.
Your mouth is dry.
Every fiber of your being is just...like it's on pins and needles, but you can barely move.

Stop! What's going on? What's wrong with me? What caused this? What should I do? Where should I go? Stop! Stop! Stop!

One Method to Get Through A Panic Attack

Listening to tapes or soothing videos can get you through a panic attack - but, unfortunately, they won't stop them completely or forever. I found this audio on YouTube and her voice really is very soothing, don't you think?

Stop My Panic Attacks

A psychiatrist Explains

You just want to stop the panic attacks. You worried that you'll die or are having a heart attack. You spend way to much time doing self diagnosing and "examining" yourself to see if a panic attack is imminent - or even not going out because you are just sure that one is on the way!

You've been to the doctor, or to the emergency room. And they tell you not to worry - that you're not dying. In fact your health - your heart - are in perfect shape. They've told you to see a psychiatrist and given you a handfull of sedatives to help until you make that appointment.

A Psychiatrist?

The panic attacks are not going away so eventually you do make that appointment. You're willing to try anything now - but you still don't understand.

Why can't I Stop My Panic Attacks by Myself

I'm STRONG!

The psychiatrist explains (hopefully) about the hormones in your body and it's "fight or flight" response to danger - whether real or perceived.

When our brain senses danger, it performs it's duties well - with NO help from our "conscious" self! Non-essential functions are shut down or diminished so that we can concentrate on the threat. Breathing comes faster and oxygen to the extremities is shut down to a trickle so that if they are injured the loss of blood will be lessened, your heart beats faster and harder in order to supply your muscles with extra energy for fighting, your sweat glands expand so your body can be cooled more efficiently so you don't over-heat when fighting.

Great - your sitting watching TV with your husband or driving the kids to school or settling into your office for another day at work - and your body is preparing for war?

Are you going crazy?

If I Am So Strong Then...

Why Can't I Stop My Panic Attacks?

Another aspect of my research into how to stop my panic attacks was reading about the major cause of panic attacks in most people.

STRESS!!

We all have stress in our daily lives. Little stresses like ruining your favorite shirt because of a nasty stain to losing a job and worrying about the next mortgage payment. These stresses, both little and large build up. We get USED to them! They're just a part of everyday life; we are aware of them but we are "handling" them because we are STRONG! Because we have to. Because others are counting on us. Sometimes simply because we don't want to alarm others. Also because we don't know how to relieve stress properly. It's not a class in high school!

Then one day, seemingly out of the blue, you have a panic attack. You can't help but wonder just what happened that day that caused the overload and resulted in a full-blown panic attack.

Well, as it turns not, it's not just that day - it's the past year - or two years or ten that have finally boiled over and resulted in the panic attack. Yes, we are strong, but everyone has a limit.

And then the panic attacks keep coming and coming. Nothing helps and how can you go back and release the stress from something that happened years ago?

So the panic attacks keep coming and coming and coming until you feel as though you have no where to turn to for help. You feel like giving up...

What Can I Do To Stop My Panic Attacks?

I've tried everything - done everything the doctor said to do!

You have done everything possible to stop the panic attacks. You've taken the prescription drugs the doctor gave you, you've spent some time in therapy, you've tried relaxation techniques.
You've given it your best shot - yet still the panic attacks persist. Your life seems to be crumbling around you. You're at your wits end! What's left for you to try?

I Did Find Out How To Stop My Panic Attacks

The hard way....

After several years of counseling and different drugs I did finally stop my panic attacks. There is not room here to detail all the changes and the WHYS, but they were difficult choices and ones that, to this day, I'm not sure of. I think that my desperation to stop my panic attacks was so great that I took the "flight" portion of that "fight or flight" response.

Regardless, the panic attacks are a thing of my past. I am lucky. I suffered panic attacks for a little over two years - yet I speak with and hear of people who are and have been suffering for 5 years, 10 years, and much longer!

Recently, I was doing some research on panic attacks and came across a web site with a product claiming that their product, their system, could eliminate panic attacks completely.

Stop Panic Attacks With Joe Barry

It is worth your life!

As I listened to the testimonials from people who had used Joe Barry's Panic Away, and had successfully stopped their panic attacks, I was definitely impressed. Some brought tears to my eye as I listened to their stories of years spent trying to get their lives back from this terrible disease.
Joe Barry, a former panic attack sufferer himself, had developed a method for stopping panic attacks in their tracks.

More research revealed that Joe Barry and Panic Away have been around for over 6 years - and that's a VERY long time for an interent product! His method, that he has coined the "One Move Technique", is even catching the eye of the medical profession - which is notoriously slow to embrace anything "new".

I took a leap of faith and purchased the program for a close friend who had been suffering from panic attacks for almost 7 years. Her results were amazing and she is now a different person, enjoying so many things in life that her panic attacks had prevented her from doing. I have my friend back!

I urge you, if you're a panic attack sufferer, to listen to those testimonials, take a chance and learn how to stop your panic attacks. You have probably already spent hundreds, if not thousands of dollars on various cures and drugs. It's not time to give up yet - not when a way to stop your panic attacks is so close!

Stop My Panic Attacks with Panic Away

Panic Away could be YOUR life changing decision. With Joe Barry's wonderful method's you could soon be on your way to a life FREE of panic attacks. If you also are saying "I want to stop my panic attacks.", then open your mind to this product, because it can be the last one you'll ever need! Joe Barry, cares and he KNOWS!
