This may not be the complete snoring treatment answer, it's worth taking a good look at what you're eating and drinking. You might have an intollerance to certain foods which may affect your breathing, especially when lying on your back. For example, too much (or an intolerance to) dairy products may cause you to become blocked up with mucus, when horizontal, this mucus collects causing a narrowing of the airway leading to heavy breathing and snoring. Alcohol is another common offender. I know when I drink a lot my mouth is like a desert in the morning because I've been snoring.

Snoring Tip Number 3: Sleep on Your Side or Front 

I know, this is easier said than done, how the heck are you supposed to control your sleeping position when you are asleep! There is an old trick which you may want to try. Sow a walnut, ping-pong ball or similar size item into the back of a shirt and wear that shirt to bed. Whenever you roll onto your back the object you have sewn to your shirt will dig into you, hopefully causing you to roll back over again. Of course, if you tend to take your shirt off in your sleep, this helpful tip will be useless to you.

Use nasal strips. My father has used these and found them to be extremely helpful, he absolutely swears by them. Nasal strips open the air passage for you, removing or preventing blockages. It's worth a try, but the cost of buying nasal strips to use every night can add up over time.
