I actually don't want any of their marketing mail. I'm disappointed that many companies that I've only purchased things from them using their websites will sent me things in the mail.
I never order from paper catalogers, all the ones I receive go right to the recycle bin. I feel that's a waste, even if that paper gets recycled, it didn't serve a useful purpose to me, so why should energy be spent recycling it?
I buy a lot items online from Amazon, and they've never sent me anything in the mail. They do send me email updates in categories I've signed up for.
I've spent quite a bit of money at Staples over the years, and I'm happy to say that they mostly only send me ads by email, almost nothing paper, so some people are starting to catch on.

- Well said! I always wince whenever I receive flyers and pamphlets in the mail because they lmost always go straight to the trash.

- Oh you are so right re direct mail and if it was not effective, it would stop. So if we just stop buying from direct mail ads, it will slow down to a halt.
