Learn to stop puppy biting the easy way

Having raised Newfy puppies for many years, believe you me, I have experienced the pain of those sharp little teeth. I have also experienced the loss of several remote controls! Chewing and biting is an issue with all puppies, and the more you know and learn, the better you will be able to control this!

Training little kids to work with puppies is part of the job if you have children in your household. LIttle children tend to carry around cookies with them and nothing is more difficult than to teach a puppy NOT to bite at children's hands when they are carrying cookies. so rules need to be made. Two of them are: (for your children) no walking around with cookies in your hands! In other words, sit down at thetable to eat!)  And the other rule again is for the kids: If you do carry cookies around, don't hold them high up in the air, this only makes the puppy jump up to bite at their hands! You are the adult in the household, it is up to you to make the environment safe for the kids and also for the puppy. So this is something that you must pay attention to when you are trying to get a puppy to stop biting and nipping. The puppy cant be blamed for following his natural instincts.

As for eating, when you are bringing up the puppy,put your hands into his food bowl often while he is eating. Every so often, pick the bowl up and stir some extra food into it.
