To stop smoking start with fundamental knowledge

The CDC (Center for Disease Control) states cigarette smoking is accountable for 151,322 demises yearly in the United States. The major type of cancer is lung cancer. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention also states that males who smoke are twenty-two times more likely to die from lung cancer than non-smokers.

Environmental Tobacco Smoke (ETS) reports secondhand smoke has been the major cause of lung cancer. The testing group was comprised of nonsmoking spouses.

Federal review of adult tobacco users uncovers that almost all smokers are grossly misled about the components that are found in cigarettes. They don't recognize there are no health benefits affiliated with filtered and low-level tar cigarettes. The worse part is they don't even realize the dangers and benefits of nicotine drugs.

I smoked for a short amount of time and quit cold turkey many years ago. My mother smoked for many years and died from a smoke related illness. It is a sad situation that so many people's morbidity and mortality will be affected by this addiction. Good info. 5*
