Stop Barking NOW
Barking is a natural canine behavior.
Birds sing, frogs croak, and dogs bark, whine and howl. If you have a dog, you should expect the latter. It is completely unrealistic and unfair to think you can train your dog to stop barking altogether. However, you, your neighbors, and your dog will all be much happier if the barking is under control.Dogs who are socially isolated or confined for long periods without supervised exercise need some outlet for their pent-up energy. A dog who is left alone all day is likely to take up barking as a hobby because no one is there to control him. In no time at all, barking becomes an enjoyable habit to the dog. And for many dogs, once they start barking, they tend to continue barking for the sheer fun of it.
Your dog may be barking excessively because you unintentionally trained her to do so. Poochie speaks and you obey. "Woof" and you open the door to let puppy out. "Woof" and you open it again to let her in. "Woof" and she gets a treat, "woof" for a tummy-rub . . . are you starting to get the picture? Your dog has learned to get attention through barking. It is easy to fall into this trap because the very nature of barking gets your attention. For the same reason, it is easy to forget to praise and reward your dog when she is not barking.

10 Dog Training Tips
1. The first and most important rule in dog training is to let your dog know who is boss. Once you get your dog to respect you as his leader, everything else will be much easier. Dogs in the wild travel in a pack with a leader. One thing you should do is make your dog watch you eat, then feed him after you are done. In the wild, the leader of the pack feeds on the prey first, then lets the others eat. If your dog begs while you are eating, growling at him will let him know that begging is not an acceptable behavior. If your dog is in your path, gently nudge him to make him move out of your way. Stepping over him or around him will let him think he is the boss. Rubbing your dogs belly is a way to teach him submission as well as encouraging him to lick the back of your hand to show him that you are the leader.2. Dog training requires a lot of patience and consistency. Dog training sessions should be short (10 to 15 minutes a session) and frequent (several times a day). Try to remain consistent in your training.
3. Setup A Time To Train. When training your dog, it is bad to have interruptions. These will distract you and your dog, which is why it is best to dedicate a certain amount of time each day to training.
4. Setup The Training Area. Now that you have chosen a place to train you must also organize the area. Do not leave anything out that you wouldn't want to break or damage. Also, remove any sort of rug just in case your dog needs to urinate.
5. Your puppy should have its own personal space. The crate, also known as a cage, kennel or den, must be big enough for the puppy to easily stand up and turn around in.A puppy should be able to go to its crate whenever it wants during the day.
6. Make sure the training is fun for you and your dog. If you have to change techniques to suit you and for your convenience and happiness don't hesitate to do so.
7. Keeping your dog happy can be achieved through giving the dog breaks, giving it its favorite treats.
8. Your companion loves you unconditionally and as such, it wants to please you! This simple knowledge should be used to your advantage. The dog will be trying his best to learn in order to do so. All you need to do is guide it.
9. Do NOT punish your dog during training as this will only have a negative effect and the dog will disobey your every order and fear you more than love you.
10. Be patient. Patience is a virtue they say and in dog training it's no different. Just like humans, dogs need time to remember things, so always stick to the plan you set from the start, give your dog time, and wait for results.

One of the key areas to learn and apply if you want a happy and obedient dog. This is a great add-on to the SitStayFetch package, it can be used for any specific dog related query you may have. Whether you are struggling to correct a behavioral problem or would like to teach your dog a new trick, you can use this consultation to find the answer. I actually used this free service to fix a destructive chewing habit my male Terrier Paw Paw had developed. It took about a day to receive a reply from Daniel (or one of his team) but it was very thorough and did the trick with little chew monster.
Topics Covered Within SitStayFetch
As I mentioned earlier Sit Stay Fetch really is the complete dog ownership and training resource. It's not really fair of me if I detail every topic Daniel has included in the books, but I'll just outline the 9 Chapters that provide the books framework.
1. It's A Dogs Life
2. Caring for Your Dog
3. Training Methods Revealed
4. Secrets To Understanding Your Dog
5. Dog Problems Solved
6. Commands To Start With
7. Dog Whispering Uncovered
8. More Dog Problems Solved
9. Advanced Commands and Tricks
Some specific tips in SitStayFetch which I have personally found to be very useful:
* Daniel discusses and explains many of the dog training techniques and methods being used today. He then picks out a couple which he believes to be superior to the others. He bases this on personal experience and most importantly results. A relatively new technique called Dog Whispering receives a strong endorsement from Daniel.
* The right age to start your dog off with the various commands and techniques is also covered in detail. For example it is important to start your young puppies off with very basic obedience commands and short sharp training sessions. At this early stage in your puppies life, anything else is pointless.
* Another great insight Daniel gives is that you should never call your dog over to reprimand him. This is because dogs need to be praised or disciplined within two or three seconds of their action (or inaction).
The list of Dog Problems addressed in SitStayFetch is extensive and is backed by real life case studies:

The easy answer is probably - any responsible dog owner. But more specifically:

If you bought SitStayFetch at this stage you would be able to use it immediately and right throughout your dogs life. It will help prevent any behavioral problems and correct any which may develop along the way.

3. For a dog owner who wishes to teach their dog a difficult or advanced level command.
My Experience With SitStayFetch
I read the books from cover to cover when I first downloaded them (they are also available to order in hard copy). I picked up heaps of useful and useable tips right from the start. I was soon applying the recommended dog training techniques and have now had great results with my own and families dogs. Even now, if one of my dogs looks to be developing any behavioral problems I reach for my copy of Sit Stay Fetch.
