How to Stop Smoking

We all know that smoking is bad for our health, bad for those who breath in our smoke, and that it decreases our lives. Do yourself and your family a favor and make the decision to stop smoking.

Did you know that about 400,000 people die each year in the United States from smoking-related causes? Not only that, but smoking costs businesses, the economy, and the health care system billions of dollars each year because smokers take more sick days, require more medical attention, and have a much higher chance of acquiring very serious medical conditions such as cancer, heart disease, emphysema, and so on.

There is nothing good for you in a cigarette. They are draining you of your health, your money, and your good looks (yes, smoking is bad for your skin and teeth).

So do the smart thing and decide to quit smoking. It's one time when "quitting" is a good thing.

My Favorite Stop Smoking Video

It's eye-opening to hear a smoker talking about how they wish they would not have smoked. Here is Yul Brynner telling people not to smoke. He was dying from lung cancer at the time.

Yul Brynner - Anti-Smoking Commercial

This commercial aired after Yul Brynner's death. Now that I'm gone, I tell you: Don't smoke, whatever you do, just don't smoke.
