Stop Snoring Mouthguard

A mouthguard used to cure snoring has been around for a very long time. Snoring research has shown that custom fabricated dental appliances worn at night that move the lower jaw into a forward position, increase the three dimensional space in the airway tube which reduces air velocity and soft tissue vibration. By increasing the volumetric capacity of the airway and preventing soft tissue vibrations, snoring is eliminated.

Mouthguard Advice

I dont use mouthguards because i found them expensive to buy all of the time and i tended to lose them quite frequently. One main problem i had was i would wash mine every morning and my dog would come along and think its his new chew toy, which it wasnt. I was also tired of brining one with everyone i stayed because it gets old very quick.

Why I Used Mouthguards

I first used mouthguards because they were all the rage when they came out. Anything that would help my snoring problem was a godsend at that time. At first they werent so bad because i lived alone with no pets. After i got a girlfriend and a dog and cat it wasnt so easy to use anymore. It just didnt fit my lifestyle.

Usually, mouth guards are advised by most dentists (Hilton Head-based, especially), to use those for sports or any close contact activities, and to those people who have bruxism or TMJ. I have bruxism. My dentist Hilton Head-based advised me to wear a mouth guard every night so I can avoid grinding teeth. Honestly, I didn't know that I grind my teeth while I'm sleeping until my wife noticed it.

Most people don't know they snore until a loved one tells them. My wife grinds her teeth when she sleeps but its only once in awhile thankfully, lol.
