The complete Star Wars Stormtrooper Costume TK421 (the official name) consists of 26 pieces in the armour set. However, the main componets of the suit include the helmet, backplate and stomach armor, a utility belt, boots, and the body glove.

Representing the most visible symbol of Imperial might is the BlasTech E-11 Stormtrooper blaster rifle.

What is a Stormtrooper?

for all you non-Star Wars fanatics

Stormtroopers were the elite shock troops of the Galactic Empire, loyal and answerable directly to Emperor Palpatine. Like Imperial-class Star Destroyers and TIE Fighters, stormtroopers served as reminders of the Emperor's power, extensions of his will, and a method of keeping the Empire's thousands of star systems in line through fear.

Formed into Stormtrooper Corps, stormtroopers operated alongside Army, Navy, and Starfighter Corps units independently, where some placed on Navy ships were given the name "marines."

Interesting: It is believed that Stormtroopers were likely based on Third Reich stormtroopers, who served in the Nazi army in World War II.

If you are a extreme Stormtrooper zealot you're probably planning on spending many, many $1 bills on your greatly anticipated Stormtrooper armor. Even if you're not planning on spending a small fortune, you should still skim over this review.

Stormtrooper Helmet

Although a few helmets may have been reused, there was a different helmet used in each Star Wars movie (and even different helmets used within the individual movies.) These helmets are usually referred to by the acronym representing the movie's title.

There is the ANH (stunt) helmet, the ESB helmet and the RotJ helmet respectively.

Replica Stormtrooper Armor Parts and Armour

In 1976, Andrew Ainsworth and Shepperton Design Studios created the amour and the original helmets, including the ANH Stunt helmet used for the background troopers, and the Hero Trooper Helmet used for the leading actors in the film and many close-up shots, for the greatest sci-fi fantasy film of all time.
