I'm surrounded by them. Too many than I can count, or read during an average year. Many are unopened, their pages remain virgin territory for my reading.
Others have been worn out from repetitive page turning.
This lens is focused on helping you find the best of online books.
Some are great works of fiction hot off the press. Others are classics from days gone by. And still others are biographies of important people known and unknown.
Get your reading light, a cup of tea, and take a journey to far away places and times.

No Time To Read? Here Are 3 Options For You
- You can give up on ever learning the great stuff that has been written.
- You can check out Audiobooks and read as you do other stuff.
- Or you can have others read books for you and tell you what they're about.
Now obviously, I don't recommend #1, because that's just plain boring.
My first recommendation is to go the audiobook route. Audiobooks have allowed me to read a book every week or two, instead of every three months or so. While I'm driving to school, doing yardwork, or just trying to relax (or even nap!), audiobooks allow me to enrich my life when I can't get to the physical pages.
The two best places for audiobooks I can share with you are Hear2Read.com for digital audiobook downloads, or Bookwise for Audiobooks on CD.
As for having somebody else read for you and tell you the gist, this is becoming very popular.
As a teacher I cringe when I hear the words Cliff's Notes, but the reality is we have a limited amount of time. And as adults, it's OK to skip the bulk of the reading if our lives can be substantially helped out by learning what people have written.
One resource I can share with you for summaries is Soundview Business Book Summaries
. Every month, they take the best business books that have been written and give you the guts in 8 pages. You can download these digitally, or have them mailed to your house. Better yet, why not combine #2 and #3 and have an Audio summary sent to you on CD? That's possible, too, with this service.

- Great Lens Bob, A very good idea. I prefer to read Non Fiction now (either Hard copy or ebooks), However I used to find the 'Choose Your Own Adventure' style books an absorbing read when I was at school.
