Strawberry Cake Recipe

Ingredients

• 2 cups sugar
• 1 glass water
• 2 cups flour
• 3 eggs
• 1 tbsp baking powder
• strawberries
• 500g fresh milk cream
• 1 glass porto wine
• FOR THE FILLING
• 2 glass milk
• 2 tbsp cornstarch
• 2 egg yolks
• 4 spoons sugar
• 1 spoon butter

Instructions

1. Separate the egg whites from its yolk and mix the egg whites in an electric mixer. Add the yolks in the mixture and mix thoroughly.
2. Add baking powder and flour. Stir until a well mixed. Add water and mix it again.
3. Pour the mixture in a smeared broiler and bake in the oven for 20 minutes.
4. Let it cool. Flip the cake and transfer it to a cake plate. Slice the cake into half making two cakes and transfer the other half in another cake plate.
5. To make the syrup, add water and sugar in a pot and heat it. Then add the port wine.
6. Pour the syrup on top of the cake evenly so it won't get dry.
7. To make the filling, pour in all the filling ingredients in a pot and take into oven until the cream thickens.
8. Add the filling on top of the two cakes and spread evenly.
9. For the whipped cream, pour in a mixing the fresh milk cream and add four spoonful of sugar. Beat well until cream barely mounds.
10. Cut half of the strawberries into halves and squash half of the strawberries. Add a little bit of whipped cream into the squashed berries and put over the cake. Spread evenly.
11. Return the other half of the cake on top of its other half, creamed side facing the creamed side of its other half.
12. Cover the entire cake with the remaining cream and arrange the cut fresh strawberries all over the cake.
13. Refrigerate for an hour.
14. Serve.
