Comes with 7-button aluminum Apple remote; can be controlled by iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch via Remote app. Silent, cool and small, this device is indeed brings entertainment right to your home. It is just a palm-size big and very energy efficient

What is in the box?

Pros and Cons.

When you unpack an Apple TV 2 delivery box, you will see a small black box, an Apple TV itself.
Another item is an Apple Remote. For some reason its metallic with 7 buttons.
The third item is a Power cord.
And the last one is printed documentation.

To connect ATV to big screen TV you need HDMI to HDMI Cable which is not included in the box.
Also you will need a powerful router like Air Port Extreme Base Station (if you don't have one) to connect seamlessly to Netflix, Hulu, Flickr and other companies streaming videos, movies, pictures and music.

PROS.

* Killer pricing. You may buy more then one for each room.
* Compact, silent, don't even worms, while working.
* Elegant, simple interface.
* Audio and Video is excellent.
buffers for a few short seconds before playing from compute, but once it's going, it's flawless.
* Netflix support (unlike previous generation Apple TV-1).
* Remote App for iOS devices.
* Airplay works pretty well.

CONS

* Content selection is limited.
* Doesn't allow purchases ( only rentals ).
* Can only network via Apple Home Sharing

Apple TV 2 is a winner. I would definitely recommend to get one. It's not universal, but it does well, what it promise to do. Unlike ATV-1, it does not have a hard drive, but hey, you can not save everything you'd like to anyway. This device designed with a new concept. Overall, Apple TV is a perfect media streamer and great addition to your home entertainment center.
