Stress And Anxiety – It's The American Way Of Life.

The Demands Of Our Busy Lifestyles Can Cause Stress And Anxiety.

This leaves us prone to mental fatigue, burnout and a variety of unfavorable physical conditions. These days we're required to perform efficiently and do it without making mistakes. Do these words " there's not enough hours in the day to get everything done " ever come out of your mouth? Some of us have become perfectionists, almost robotic in our actions so that we don't make mistakes. Well, we're not robots and Pobody's Nerfect! Ahhhhh my spell check doesn't like those words. Did I spell it right? What if the online world thinks I'm an idiot because I forgot to put a comma somewhere in this sentence... Our perfectionist ways can carry over into every aspect of our lives, even when we are writing a squidoo lens. Where's the fun in that? I was reading a lens by Greekgeek and she wrote an important tip "Don't Sweat It; Have Fun" "Squidoo is a playful medium and that fun will shine through for your visitors."

The Presentation And An OCD Fixation

Someone once told me years ago, after I made a speech, not to sweat the small stuff. This clichΓ© didn't mean much to me at the time. In retrospect, I get what they were trying to tell me. My attempt to make the perfect speech actually hindered the presentation. I think that the anxiety experienced by people in public speaking is closely related to our fear of not looking perfect in the eyes of others. It's been said that OCD is an anxiety disorder and somehow I've chosen OCD as a way to alleviate my stress. Now that's a mistake I shouldn't have made... Of course I didn't actually choose OCD and giving in to its rituals over time actually increases our stress. Perhaps some time I'll create a lens on obsessive compulsion disorder, since I know a little something about it. I do know that the only way to conquer OCD is by taking it on head to head. If you truly have OCD, then I suggest that you go to OCD Online.

Humor: A Positive Way To Reduce Our Stress And Anxiety

A side note: Writers and artists understand that at some point you need to show your work to the world. When it's on paper or canvas, the perfectionist has a hard time showing their finished work because there's always something that can be revised. One of the the wonderful things about squidoo is the ability to continuously update your lens. This gives us the ability to launch our lens and fine tune it over time.

Stress is a part of our life but anxiety not. One factor or a reason that triggers an individual to be anxious is due to the stress. In small quantities, stress is helpful but too much stress is harmful. Body therapy, yoga and exercise, counseling and support groups, home remedies, medicines and holistic approach these are the effective treatment for stress and anxiety.

Hi Ted: Thanks for your question about how I find lenses to bless. I visited this lens and I "Liked" it. I think it has alot of potential but not quite ready for a blessing. If you can improve it and make it "HOT" before my time as an Angel is over, let me know and I will bless it. In any case, I do hope you continue with Squidoo. You have "untapped pontial"
