Why We Get Stressed And Where Does Stress Come From?

There are many different kinds of stress. And there are many different levels of stress that result from stressful events in life.

Anyone who is dealing with the difficult events in their daily life gets stressed at some point. It is caused by the basic tendency for humans to struggle with the "fight or flee" mentality when we feel challenged or pressured out of our normal state of comfort.

It is in human nature that we often expect a lot from everything around us and in our busy lives. We can feel stress from being disappointed or pressured to perform above our usual standards, and having unrealistic expectations of people around us or special events like Holidays.

Whether it's the nature, other people around us or the self, we push ourselves to the limits to achieve what we long for and that drive is nothing but the first stage which gives birth to increased stress levels.

Fear of losing something in real life can also cause an immense amount of stress which can certainly hamper our performance in work life too. There are many tragedies in life that can also cause depression and anxiety, like grieving for a personal loss.

You can also worry about your job or your relationships. One of the biggest stressors in life and relationships is money worries, so these times of tough economics raise the stress levels in many people.

It is important to learn how to reduce and manage your stress, as it is HOW you deal with what happens that is more important than the actual event in your life that is causing you stress. Basic Stress management techniques can be learned and applied that will make your life more calm, relaxed and much happier.

My Stress Relief Tips Book Has The Help You Need.

I'm very proud of this publication - it has every tip I know to help you manage stress or even eliminate it from your life!

Some Simple Stress Relief Tips:

Stress Relief TipsThough the stress triggers for every individual varies from person to person depending upon the situation and environment surrounding them, still stress can be managed and reduced though proper stress management techniques.

Everyone doesn't have the same stress level.

Some people are gifted with a natural ability to deal with stress and handle any situation no matter how bad the situation gets. The best way to relieve the stress is to start sharing your thoughts and views about things with someone from your family and friends.

Some Stress Relief Tips are given below.

1. Start breathing deeply whenever you fell stressed. Yes, the best way to make your body calm and brain work faster is to provide some oxygen to the body through deep breathing.

This is not only an effective tool to lower the stress and relax the tensed brain muscles but it is also good for you in making sure that your final decisions well thought and analyzed.

2. Slow breathing provides you with some moments of peace for rational thinking and to give you a chance to calm down when you are tense and feeling rushed.

3. Identify the main element which has been stressing you out. By finding the main cause behind your stress you can resolve the stress trigger or problem quickly.

4. Speak to someone about your problem. Other people can act as a shield to support you against any stressful events you are experiencing. You just need to be honest with them in sharing the actual problem which has been tormenting you.

5. Do things you like doing the most. Enjoy yourself, go out with friends and family and yes last but the most important Stress Relief Tips, laugh away all your worries.

Life is too short to keep on thinking about only stressful things all the time. Just stay happy for whatever you have achieved so far and try to focus on constructive things only. Don't waste your time in thinking about the pessimistic things of the life.

One of the worst things one can say to a person in stress is that 'stress doesn't exist'! However, there is truth in it. Stress has no existence in its own right. It is WITHIN us and, dare I say it, created by us. Perhaps learning this can be a start on the way to conquering stress.
  • Helene-Malmsio Mar 15, 2011 @ 6:34 am | delete
thanks for dropping by and commenting Chris - I agree that a lot of our stress is 'self inflicted' by over reaching our capacity - and then we don't know how to deal with all the adrenaline that is caused as a consequence.
It's important to learn the skills and techniques to give yourself some stress relief, or you will get very ill and worn down.
