Stress relief remedies
There are many ways to relieve stress, from yoga and exercise to listening to soothing music while sitting in a rain forest.
There is no best way to relieve stress, you just need to find a method of stress relief that works for you. So keep trying new methods until you find the stress relief method that works for you. You may even find that you need different stress relief methods for different occasions, like home related stress as opposed to work related stress.
Stress is a part of life, but being constantly stressed out can lead to serious health problems, so learn to relax and get that stress relief strategy happening.
Natural stress management
Natural stress relievers
* Kava kava. This herb has not only been used for stress relief and relaxation, but also for easing anxiety and curing insomnia. The effects are considered to be similar to the prescription drug valium, but generally without the "mental fog" feeling.
* Lavender. Many people rely on lavender and other essential oils to soothe crying, fussy babies. These oils have the same calming effect on adults as well. You can massage them into your skin, put them in a bath, or just rub a small amount on your temples for a soothing and relaxing effect.
* Valerian. This is one of the most widely used herbs for curing insomnia. It calms the nervous system, making you feel calm and relaxed instead of stressed. In addition, since it helps you get a great night's sleep, you'll feel more refreshed and ready to face the next day.
* Reishi. This is a great supplement to take if you find your stress is caused by a constantly racing mind. This herb produces a calm, clear mind and helps cure anxiety without making you feel sleepy or sedated. It can also help you sleep if you have trouble "turning off" your brain at night.
Most herbal supplements require longer periods of time to notice the full effect. If taken properly and with patience, these remedies can provide a natural and effective alternative to drugs with fewer side effects. You should also talk to your doctor before starting any herbal supplement because they may have drug interactions.
Hopefully one or more of these remedies will help you to calm down and lead a more relaxing and peaceful life.

Benefits of exercise in reducing stress
Reduced stress due to exercise
Getting aerobic exercise can actually reduce anxiety by up to 50%.
Here are some of the benefits of exercise in reducing stress
* Exercise improves your mood. Aerobic exercise produces chemicals that make you feel happier and more ready to face the day. It also increases blood flow to the brain; furthering this happy, energetic feeling.
* Exercise gives you more energy. Stress makes you feel run down and tired during the day. If you exercise in the morning, you'll get a great energy boost to keep you going in the late morning and afternoon. You may feel fatigued during the first few weeks of exercise. Be persistent and the energy will come.
* Exercise helps you sleep. There is nothing that reduces stress more than a good night's sleep. Sleep not only recharges your tense, achy muscles; it also refreshes your mind and allows you to process information from the day. Getting more, higher quality sleep on a regular basis will help you cope with the stresses of everyday life. Just remember to do aerobic activity well before bedtime.
If you can't do an aerobic workout, or just don't think it's enough; try yoga or stretching. These exercises are great for soothing sore, tense muscles, clearing your mind, and relaxing you. Plus, if you have no free time in the morning, these exercises can be done at night without keeping you from your sleep (they'll probably even help). Just find a book or take a class. You should be able to find poses and movements that relate specifically to stress reduction and relaxation.
So make a plan and start a regular workout routine. If you stick with it, you'll start feeling less stressed, less anxious, and more relaxed in no time.
