Great Lens, thanks for sharing these simple but amazingly effective tips! I'm going to add this to my Stress Buster Recipe as it fits in so well (hope that's OK?). Knitting and cross stitching a complicated pattern is a great stress buster for me.

Interesting lens. I think I've tried all the things you mention---and you are absolutely right. They all work well. For me, looking at those picturesque landscapes really does it for me, especially if I can imagine myself there. I love going to the beach---it's always calming, just to sit there quietly. One more thing I also do is I go into my craft room, sit down in my chair, and look at all the "pretty things" I've made around me.

May I also suggest playing nature CD's while one is trying to sleep as well as when trying to de-stress. The sounds of rain, the wind, thunder, a hooting owl , the cry of a lonesome wolf - they all really help me so I assume it works for others as well. Not enuff people bother to try a solution to their woes - nature sounds are there but ignored by many.

I'm so happy I've stumbled upon this lens. I meditate (but not enough) I've not been disciplined to do it on a regular basis, even though I know it is good for me. I've also practiced Yoga, Tai Chi and GiGong. They are all very helpful, but you have to do them to reap the benefits. Discipline again. This lens will remind me how important it is to destress on a regular basis. 5***** Thanks!

Interesting tips, so simple and I am sure effective...Putting one's feet up, for example, as you describe it, is clearly a good thing to do even when not stressed. I shall try it. I was thinking of getting a slantboard that would have served a similar purpose but now that I have seen your illustration of the feet up position that may no longer be necessary. Thank you!
