- Use a shoe-stretcher. Look in closet sections and organizational stores for these. They also show up frequently at garage sales and thrift stores. This is a device designed to stretch shoes, a wooden- or plastic- foot shape with various screws and adjustments. When you choose your shoe stretcher, you'll need to know whether you need to stretch only the width or if you need to stretch both width and length. Choose your shoe stretcher appropriately.
- Use a shoe-stretching spray in conjunction with your shoe-stretcher or with your foot. These should be available at good shoe stores, shoe repair shops, and wherever you got the shoe-stretcher. They make the material a little more supple and help it to stretch evenly.
- Fill your boots with oats (or any grain that swells up when wet) Then pour in enough water to cover the grain. They will be larger overnight, wear them for a few days untill your feet get adjusted and the boots dry.
