1950's - Stuart's father, Seymour opens "Seymour Shoes".
1953 - Graduates George W. Hewlett High School.
1963 - Graduates from Wharton School of Business.
1960's - Stuart begins designing shoes. Dad is so proud he bronzes the first one.
1965 - Dad dies. Stuart & brother Warren take over the business.
1972 - Sells business to a company in Spain. Stuart continues to design for the company.
1994 - Stuart buys back the business but keeps the manufacture in Spain.
1995 - Opened flagship store on Madison Avenue, quickly followed by one one Rodeo Drive.
1998 - Debuts online boutique on Zappos.com.
2002 - Began providing "million dollar" shoes to one lucky Oscar nominee every year.
2007 - Diablo Cody rejects "million dollar" shoes, seemingly at the last minute. This makes news.
