Student Rate Airfare

When browsing online you can find some websites that offer cheap student rate airfare offers, but that doesn't mean just because you are a student that doesn't mean in automatically having the best travel deal available. There are plenty of websites that list student rate airfare deals and offer cheap prices, however limitations on round-trip and the number of days between the flights indicates the rates are not meant for leisure travel.

It has been noted that student rate airfares offer some tremendous prices on one-way tickets, which is the form of ticket which students usually seek because they are frequently not certain of their return plans. Some travel sites do however offer the option of a round-trip with an open-ended schedule to enable the student to fix the price for the trip back home while leaving a window for the return date to be chosen at a later time.

A large number of cheap student rate airfare offers require a minimum stay ranging from one month to twelve months and travel on certain airlines, while other companies will offer a further discount on a one-way return ticket when it is booked at a later date. One example is, when booking a one-way flight to their desired destination will allow them to receive a discount two months later when they reserve their return flight. The period during which the discount goes for is normally between one month and 12 months.

If students are looking for airline tickets for non-educational trips, like a trip during their Spring Break, they may well find better deals at sites which are not offering student discount airfare tickets. For example, one return trip flight from Cleveland to Las Vegas was recently advertised on such a site for $176. However, making this same booking through a company providing student rate airfare deals would have cost about $450.
