A creative space in progress

Everyone needs a space to create, whether it's a kitchen table or an entire building. I've run the entire gammut, and now have the ideal place to knit, sew, spin, embroider, and teach my children!

Follow me as I take you through my studio. Stop by often to see my latest projects.

I taught myself to machine knit in 1997, and later formed my web site and international knitting club, BadMsM's Knit-O-Rama in 2001. The Knit-O-Rama now has over 130 members worldwide.

Knitting looms allow me to use those great extra bulky and novelty yarns to make lovely warm hats, ruanas, blankets and scarves for my friends and family.

I teach loom and machine knitting locally and internationally as a ministry to people who never learned to knit, or have limited mobility.

Tammy has been with me for over 20 years, and once served as a Christmas Tree substitute during leaner times.

My Mannequin: Tammy Torso

In September 2004, I helped 22 women start a women's work cooperative in Mpala, Uganda. I taught machine knitting and pattern design. In June 2005, I returned again to help teach an advanced training class to the Mpala group and start five more groups in Rwanda, Kenya and Northern Uganda.

My Favorite Place: Anywhere I'm teaching!

I haven't quite mastered spinning yet, but I love working on it. The drop spindle is an easy, inexpensive way to learn this classic art.

It must be so rewarding to be able to teach others how to knit.

I only tried the manual knitting loom and so far, I don't have too much patience for it.
