We have finally invented an automobile which gives out pure water instead of smoke! A personal computer has more power than what IBM invented 30 years ago! Never before have two humans from opposite sides of the globe, been able to communicate with each other through electricity, for so cheap.

The Thought Pattern: Part 1
For our understanding, our minds can be divided into two distinct parts. One is the conscious mind, and the other is the subconscious mind. The conscious is the 'thinking' part of our mind. It is the one which keeps chattering non-stop throughout our lives. Can you feel the thought of this very sentence in your head as you are reading it right now?
That is the one I'm talking about! It is the reasoning part of our mind. Judgment and choice all arise from here. We use it throughout our day to make decisions to move ahead in our lives. You also know that some choices are good, and some are bad.
Have you ever wondered what all these choices are based on? Well, they are based on our subconscious beliefs. And where do you think these beliefs come from? The continuous thinking of the conscious, establishes these beliefs in the deeper mind. The subconscious does not really tell us whether the thought is good for us or not. It can not argue. Psychologists and psychiatrists point out that with every single thought, subconscious impressions are made. And as soon as the impression has reached a certain depth, it puts it into effect immediately. And then our habits are created.
Once new positive impressions are made, you begin to change your behavior smoothly. You will feel fantastic when this first happens. The possibilities are endless, they really are...Most people take some time to adjust to these new concepts, but that does not mean that even you should...

The Thought Pattern: Part 2
You should know that there are many different ways through which you can tap into the power of your subconscious mind. For example, you can use hypnosis, affirmations, subliminal messages, neuro-linguistic programming, visualization etc. Giving you an explanation on how these different methods work would be too much for this article, but what I will give you is the basic concept which is the foundation of all these methods.
So now for an example, lets take something you may want. Money? You are thinking 'I want money'. Notice the word 'want' in that sentence. So your subconscious feeling is 'wanting money', and as you keep repeating it, you experience the "want" of money! Pretty simple rule isn't it? It is said that we have more than 50,000 thoughts in a single day! How many of them are about wanting or needing something? Think about that for a while...
Let us take another example. This time you say something like 'I have an abundance of wealth', but your subconscious habit might be to counter it with 'But I am not worthy of wealth'. The thought which wins, would be the one most repeated by you, and therefore creating that particular reality. So as you can see, repetition is the keyword here. That's it!
So now you know the foundation on which all mind power methods are based on. Now all you have to do is change your subconscious thought patterns, and then change your life!
What You Can Expect:
Let me tell you about a certain experiment done by a man named Pavlov. What he did was ring a bell whenever it was time for his dog to eat. This continued for quite a while and it became very 'normal'. Later on, he found that the dog salivated whenever the bell was rung. It did not matter if it was time to eat or not! This is a classic example of how the subconscious mind affects our lives.
In fact, it can even create - miracles. I have read true life stories of how people with 'incurable' cancer are cured by medicines that have nothing in them. The doctors just tell them that it works, the patient wholeheartedly believes them, and they just heal themselves automatically. This is commonly known as the 'placebo' effect.
A simple way to imprint ideas onto your subconscious mind is by using 'affirmations'. These are basically positive statements which you repeat to yourself over and over again, until you can feel yourself behaving according to it. There are certain rules you must follow while writing them down, and also many different techniques to use them effectively.
How to Write Your Own Affirmations:
Here they are...
1. The affirmation should always be in the first person. You must understand that you are improving your own self talk. And self talk is always in the first person, thus your affirmations should be too.
2. It should always be in the present tense. Never the future or the past, since that is against the purpose. The subconscious mind always thinks in the present moment, so you should craft your affirmations the same way too.
3. The affirmation should always be in a positive tone. This also means that it should not be a reverse of a negative. Your subconscious mind picks up on the feeling of the word you are uttering at the very moment. It does not analyze what you are saying.
For example: "I am not unhealthy" is wrong. "I am healthy" is right.

Increase The Power of Affirmations:
Remember that it is always better to stick to a certain group of affirmations for a while, since we absorb them faster this way. Also, you should feel the desired result taking place already.
Written below are 7 different way to make your free affirmations more powerful.
1. You should get into a relaxed state of mind. When this happens, our conscious minds are less intrusive, thus leaving our subconscious minds wide open. You should use this to your advantage.
2. Repeat them while looking at yourself in the mirror.
3. We all tend to remember rhymes and tunes more easily. So choose your affirmations and just get a bit creative.
4. The times just before sleeping and after waking up are great for influencing the subconscious. So make sure you use them at these times.
5. If you are in a place where it would not be appropriate for you to use them out loud. You can just repeat it to yourself mentally. It helps if you imagine it getting louder and louder.
6. Write them down. This has much more power than just verbally repeating it. I would suggest that you write each one at least 10 times daily or so. Of course, the more you do it the better.
7. Write them down on pieces of paper and stick then around your home or workplace. This way, you are always reminded of them. Just make sure it is a place you visit often.
You are probably wondering how long it will take you to see changes in yourself, right? Well, it is scientifically proven that it takes 21 days for one person to change form one habit to another. So don't lose heart, just keep doing it for a while. Remember, you have an infinite number of free affirmations from which you can choose from!

The best way to prove to you that subliminal messages work is through an experience you have most likely already had. I am sure you have been in a crowded room with many animated conversations happening all around you. Now, if someone calls out your name, you would still most likely be able to hear it, wouldn't you?

A Warning About Subliminal Messages

Visualization Technique:
Visualization basically means to sustain an idea or image in our mind of what we want to create for a few minutes everyday. A good example can be that sports persons today use visualization just before they compete. They envision themselves successful in whatever sport it is that they play. And the result is that their game improves drastically.
You should know that the subconscious mind can not distinguish between what is real and what is imagined! Take a few seconds right now and close your eyes. Imagine that you are drinking pure lemon juice for example. Then watch how you react.

Self Hypnosis Technique:
