About Suburban Home Records

Suburban Home Records is a small, independent record label based in Denver, Colorado.Started as a fanzine September of 1995, Suburban Home has become a label, a distributor, a vinyl imprint and store, a custom t-shirt company, and a blog about the music industry. We remain optimistic about the future of music sales although it is tougher now than it has ever been trying to sell a product people actively get for free. Suburban Home's bands include Drag the River, Tim Barry, Love Me Destroyer, Ghost Buffalo, Josh Small, Stereotyperider, and Adventures of Jet. Past bands include the Gamits, Laymen Terms, Apocalypse Hoboken, Oblivion, Homeless Wonders, and Decay.

This lens provides a rough introduction of the other aspects of Suburban Home which includes Vinyl Collective, IndieHQ, Dead Format, Drunk Dial Hotline, and Super Fantastic Clothing.

Vinyl Collective is our vinyl imprint and vinyl-only online store that we recently started. We work very hard to release titles on vinyl that previously only had CD and digital releases. Our list of releases includes Portugal the Man, Fear Before the March of Flames, Limbeck, Every Time I Die, Tim Barry, Drag the River, and we are working on a ton more. The store focuses on vinyl only and you can expect pre-orders and new releases from some of the greatest artists in punk, metal, indie rock, alt-country, and more.

The Ultimate Resource for Independent Labels and Bands

IndieHQ is a site that I started with my friend Sean Klassen. The goal of the site is to offer a resource for indie labels and bands to learn and read about what is going on in the industry. We post current topics in the music industry, interview leading figures in music, and try to offer advice where we can. Dead Format

Dead Format began as our online store dedicated to CDs, DVDs, T-shirts, and Zines. The store is currently going through some restructuring as we have found many difficulties in selling other labels products. Dead Format will continue to sell Suburban Home Records and Distributed titles as well as some related items, but we will not be actively carrying other labels titles.

Suburban Home Records Drunk Dial Hotline

The Drunk Dial Hotline was an idea that I had that recently came to life. It is pretty simple. You get drunk and you feel chatty. It may be too late to call any of your friends so you call the Drunk Dial Hotline. Get off your chest anything you want to talk about and we post our favorite drunk dials as mp3s on the Suburban Home website. Put this number in your cell phone now: 303-800-6DUI(6384).

Super Fantastic Clothing

Super Fantastic Clothing is our custom t-shirt clothing line. If you need a rad t-shirt that for example says, "I heart Micheal Jackson" or "George Bush Doesn't Care About Black People" or "Myspace Ruined My Life", come check out this site.
