But what is success and how will you know when you've achieved it?After all. isn't success different for different people? Yes, it is. However, there is still a definition of success that can be applied to anyone and any area of life. Here it is:
Success is the achievement of goals.
If you don't set goals you'll never know when you've achieved success. Goals can also motivate you to take action that will lead towards goal achievement and thus success.
This said, it's important to know how to set goals. Here are some vital goal-setting tips that I've learned.
1. Write your goals down and make them very specific.
2. Clearly state the steps of action that you will take to ensure that the goal is achieved.
3. Set a time that each goal must be achieved by.
4. Break long-term goals down into smaller goals so that they don't become overwhelming. This also helps to maintain action and motivation over a longer period of time.
Once you know how to set goals, the next step is to gain more knowledge about success and the possibilities of what can be achieved. Knowledge gives you the power to succeed. And that's what we'll look at next.
