Allowing RSS feeds
When you first create a blog, of course it is unheard of. No one knows anything about the blog unless you give them the link and show it to them.There are many ways to get your new blog out there and known. The first thing that you can do is to allow RSS feeds be taken from your blog. This allows other websites and blogs to re-publish your posts, giving you credit in the form of a link back to your blog.
As well as this giving you a link back to your blog, it also tells their readers all about your blog, so your traffic should increase.
RSS feeds are great for promoting your blog and getting your name out there.

Update regularly
Update your blog frequently. I can not put enough emphasis on this tip. If you tell your readers that you are going to update your blog daily, then do it. If you tell them that you will be writing in your blog weekly, don't let them down.
Your readers are what makes your blog successful. You might only have a few readers in the beginning, but you will eventually build a readership base and have people checking out your blog regularly.
Maybe you do not plan on telling your readers how often you will update your blog. That is ok too.
Think of this - if you were reading a blog on a weekly basis, and you expected to see the blog updated at least once a week, you would be disappointed to find out that it was not.
Sure - things happen that might prevent you from updating, and that is expected and excused. But week after week of not updating could cause you to lose readers.

Comment on other relevant blogs
While you are working on your readership base, and trying to gain readers, you are going to find that commenting on blogs that are relevant to yours will help.Find a blog that is on the same topic to yours, or relevant to it and leave comments. You can also make a trackback with your blog postings to comment on your own blog. Doing so will probably more than likely give someone else the urge to trackback to your blog, which will also be good for it.
Commenting on blogs that get many comments is a good way of getting your blog know to those interested in your market. You will gain traffic and readers, and it is easy as well as free!

Learn and apply SEO to your blogs.SEO is search engine optimization. You are going to find that if you want your blog to go anywhere, you'll need to know how to use SEO.
Just like a website, a blog will be better off optimized.
You can optimize your blog by using tags, keywords and phrases. Use your chosen keywords and phrases as anchor points for your blog posts.
It is also helpful to link to your website (if you have one) from your blog, and link to your blog from your website.
Enabling the archive feature on your blog is also benficial.

Are you a glutton for ebooks? I wouldn't recommend you spend any more money on an ebook if the last one you bought is sitting on your computer right now unread, but if you want to check out some of the ones on ebay (they do have good info, but you just have to READ them!), here is a live feed.

A great way to earn money from your blog:
I found out about something the other day called ClickBank Mall.In case you don't know, ClickBank is an affiliate network you join and earn between 50% and 75% on any purchases as a result of your promotions. And that high percentage means you're looking at probably between $15 and $35 per sale.
And now the easier way to make these sales (of products written by other people!) is not to list individual links in different places. It is to have a clever ClickBank Mall. A library for people to browse.
I'm loving it.
The one downside is this: maybe the price is a little high for you right now if you're just beginning your internet marketing career. It's set at $79.
It's worth checking it out, at least. For what you get, $79 is really cheap. But compared to what you might be earning online right now, $79 might seem expensive!
Actually, that's probably the best reason you have to get this thing. 2 or 3 sales and your money is back in your pocket. Go for it!
