Renegade Rockstar or Foolish Follower? 

The life of an entrepreneur is like a rollercoaster - full of ups and downs and stomach-churning changes.

But it's that very thrill that makes building your own business worthwhile!

You might get so caught up in your own enthusiasm that you fall a few times. Avoid the potholes that fill the road to success for an entrepreneur.

If the guy in front of you falls in a hole, you know to go around it. Watch your predecessors and learn from their mistakes.

Communicate with powerful plans that embody every ingredient that makes up a potent pitch.

Don't rush out of the gate with your pants down. Get the financing you need to secure everything in place.

Get the staff on your side. You don't want workers - you want visionaries, leaders, people who can implement a plan of action! You want people onboard who can help you build your dreams, not sit back and go along for the ride.

Leverage competition to your advantage. Without competition, you're involved in a weak marketplace. Emulate the success of your competitors and learn from mistakes that they make.

Latch onto a mentor and don't get too big for your britches so that you ignore good advice and go down in flames.

While a renegade is secure in his or her individuality, a successful renegade isn't oblivious to the fact that they need a success system in place to truly reach heights others only dream of.

How to Help Your Business Prosper 

What do you do when you're young and hungry for success but don't have the power to get funding, recognition, and responsibility?

You take Christine's advice and wield the power of your passion so that it works in your favor.

Launching your own business takes dedication and perseverance, but step 1 is to get someone to believe in you enough to loan you the money to get started. Christine has a different way of developing the perfect business plan.

First, she says to state your credibility. They want to know that you have a team in place that includes employees, founders, advisors, board members and alliances within the industry.

When there's a support system in place, you make the risk seem negligible. There's a little bit of popularity factored in, too. When everyone's onboard, social proof takes root and you'll be one step closer to the money you need.

You're also expected to be clear and compelling when you pitch an investor or lender. If you don't know your audience and convey the enthusiasm you feel for your venture, they won't be impressed.

Make them believe because you've proven why it's a good deal, why it's a good price, a good time, and the right product or service for the marketplace.

Passionate people tend to go long on their explanations and ramble in a way that nobody understands but them. Harness that energy for the right place in your pitch, but make sure they also get a concise (yet thorough) version of your plan for success.



They want to believe in you. They don't like saying no. But your ambition isn't enough. Back up your big dreams and excitement with facts and figures they can't dispute. Do the research to be able to answer questions about demand in the marketplace, competition, and profit possibilities.

A renegade can afford to buck the traditional pitch in favor of something more edgy, but practice it beforehand so that you know it'll come off smoothly.
