Sugar Diabetes

Sugar Diabetes affects about 7% of the worlds population, of that about 20.8 million Americans. There are an estimated six million people who suffer and do not even know. Sugar Diabetes is a general word for a couple different disorders that keep the body from regulating blood sugar levels. In turn, leading to serious complications. Blood sugar levels are calculated by the amount of sugar (glucose) levels in the blood.
Glucose is made when our bodies digest foods high in starch; rice, sweet foods like chocolate and sugar, bread and potatoes. The liver also produces glucose. The hormone that takes the sugar through the cells is called Insulin. Energy is produced by this insulin. Those who suffer from Sugar Diabetes either lack insulin or can not take what they have and use it efficiently. When the body can not used the insulin sufficiently the glucose remains in the system producing horrible symptoms and side effects; thus being Sugar Diabetes.
There are two main forms of diabetes, Type 1 (10% of all cases) and the most common type, Type 2. When the body is not able to produce insulin, this is categorized as Diabetes Type 1. When the body only produces a little insulin, and cannot use what it makes effectively, this is called Type 2 Diabetes. Those who suffer from Type 1 tend to develop sugar diabetes in childhood. Those who suffer from Type 2 do not usually show any signs or symptoms at all before they are diagnosed. Type 1 sugar diabetes can not be prevented at all, whereas type 2 can be prevented by exercising and watching your diet.
A majority of the population do not see Sugar Diabetes as a serious condition. Some even believe it could be cured by insulin alone. There is no cure for this terrible illness; there are thousands and thousands of deaths every single year. Complications that can go along with sugar diabetes range from skin conditions and depression to heart disease blindness and kidney disease.
If you are diagnosed early, there are advanced treatments now that carefully monitor your diet and exercise regimens. Allowing all who are diagnosed to live happy, long and healthy lives.
