The Healing Power of a Teddy Bear
I encourage you to visit one of my other lenses for the answer. The Healing Power Of A Teddy Bear was a work of love and pain that my daughter and I shared. Embedded in the lens is Stephanie's true story.
The lens is soliciting donations to purchase teddy bears for children in the hospital. It's a project my daughter and I are combining our efforts on in a small attempt to give back all that was given to us when we spent time in Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia so many years ago.
If you do visit the lens, please be sure to come back here and enjoy the rest of this lens and buy a book for charity.

The Art Of Racing In The Rain by Garth Stein
Enzo is a lab terrier mix plucked from a farm outside Seattle to ride shotgun with race car driver Denny Swift as he pursues success on the track and off. Denny meets and marries Eve, has a daughter, Zoë, and risks his savings and his life to make it on the professional racing circuit.
Enzo, frustrated by his inability to speak and his lack of opposable thumbs, watches Denny's old racing videos, coins aphorisms that apply to both driving and life, and hopes for the day when his life as a dog will be over and he can be reborn a man. When Denny hits an extended rough patch, Enzo remains his most steadfast if silent supporter.
