There are many exciting, fast-paced activities you can cram into a summer... beaches, mountains, theme parks... but summer should also be used as a way to unwind from the daily grind we put ourselves through the other 10 months of the year.

One of the best things you can do to relax is read a good book. Take it with you on vacation. Read it while you lounge on the beach or by the lake. Allow the story to let you escape while you're reading right in your own backyard under a shady tree.

A Personal Connection To Children's Charities

The Healing Power of a Teddy Bear

Of all the wonderful charities out there, you may wonder why I selected Save The Children as the beneficiary of the proceeds from this lens.

I encourage you to visit one of my other lenses for the answer. The Healing Power Of A Teddy Bear was a work of love and pain that my daughter and I shared. Embedded in the lens is Stephanie's true story.

The lens is soliciting donations to purchase teddy bears for children in the hospital. It's a project my daughter and I are combining our efforts on in a small attempt to give back all that was given to us when we spent time in Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia so many years ago.
