Copenhagen International Fashion Fair

Summer style on the Copenhagen runways was flirty, pretty and casual.

Dots,stripes and floral prints prevail in an explosion of color.

Girlish ties and beads on sandals with halter tops make summer dressing like a carefree girl.

Fashion models paraded the runway wearing halter tops and tops with tiers of ruffles. In summer, shorts prevail. Army fatigues and overalls on some days, beaded slippers and frilly skirts on others. Summer is about having fun.

Fabrics are draped close to the body to flatter the figure without looking too tight. The preference is for comfortable looking dresses in soft fabrics. Dresses are lowcut and feminine. Babydoll dresses dominate the runways.

1. Glamorous sleeveless black dress, wide, low sweetheart neckline with thick beige hem.
2. Black and white animal print halter top with ultra-short black mini skirt.
3. Mid thigh length long sleeve shirt white dress with thick camel colored leather belt and camel colored hat and olive duffel bag.
4. Nude long sleeved dress in a soft, fabric that hugs the body above and flares to drape the body below. Low wide neckline with matching wide belt.
5. Oversize muted blue shirt in a satiny fabric over pleated white skirt.
6. White crochet minidress with butterfly sleeves. Dress ends above mid thigh. The length of an oversized t-shirt.
7. White dress with gathered sleeves and skirt, cinched at waist and wrists with drawstrings.
8. Terracotta skirt that ends a few inches above the knee and a matching sheer princess buttuned up blouse with short puffed sleeves.
9. Beige chiffon strapless dress with lots of fabric draped over the body, cinched above the waist, babydoll style with a wide black sash.
10. White satin blouse under black jacket with black lace edges and the outerhalf of the sleeves (ending just above the elbow) made of black lace. Black skirt ends a few finger widths above the knee.
11. Anything with embellishments are done sparingly. Usually on a solid colored or black or white dress or jacket, with stunning details for maximum impact.

6. Prints - from stripes to florals to graphic prints to polka dots to... Anything goes. You can even mix dots with stripes.. If you dare.
7. Babydoll - from ultra-short crochet, low cut babydolls to the elegant black number with black and white straps. Babydolls drape the female figure lovingly, bringing out the wearer's femininity,
8. Swing coats - these a-line coats swing out from under the arms, in a trapeze style that can hide a multitude of sins.
