My Most Popular Lens
this week anyway
Everyone loves this one!-
fairy coloring pages

Everyone loves fairies, from Tinkerbell to a Midsummer's Nights Dream. Coloring is one of the oldest, simplest, and most relaxing of pasttimes for young and old, a wonderful family activity or something to keep the kids busy on a rainy day. There are...
My Least Popular Lens
this week
Now I wonder why this isn't more popular? I think it's a pretty good lens - what do you think? Maybe I'll go update it when I'm done here!-
Candle Magic
-
Probably since the first candle was lit by an early Egyptian (or Roman, depending on how picky you want to be about what makes a “candle”) candles have been a part of ritual and magic. The ancient peoples considered the flame a live entit...
I am a writer
I love to read, and I love to write. I have written just about everything - nonfiction, fiction, reviews, even letters to the editor. And, of course, Squidoo lenses. In January of 2009 my novel, The River Way, was published. I'm really proud of it. I devoted a whole lens to it!
I love to blog, too - and many of my blogs are created to showcase my short stories.
Starting next week - February 20th of 2009, I will be devoting most of my time to writing for several months. I have a short novella to finish and then find a publisher for. A longer novel also awaits my attention, as well as the research and planning for an entire series I am going to write. I will also continue to write short stories for my blogs, and to submit to national magazines.
To read more of my work, and more about my projects, publications and future plans - check out these lenses - and my blogs!

Summer Fey Foovay - author
-
I am a writer, or author, or scribbler. I sort of like the last, as I am an artist as well as a writer. I have written and published numerous articles and short stories, one novel (so far), Squidoo lenses, and blogs. My subjects range from animals, n...
I am an artist
coloring pages and ATCs
Even though I am an artist and a writer - I don't write about art. Not very much anyway. I leave that to my friend Robert A. Sloan who writes these great how to articles. That said, my lens Line Art on the Internet has been one of my most popular lenses ever since I joined Squidoo,
I do line art for love and pleasure.
My lifelong love of horses, and my new found love for New Mexico, her wildlife, sky, and landscapes has led me into some new areas with my work. I am learning about creating southwestern and western landscapes, skyscapes, and wildlife and equine paintings. I consider the work I am doing now a learning experience - so I am not putting it up for sale. You can see what I am working on though, at Deviant Art account and on my Flickr account.
I also have a Zazzle store which features my art on greeting cards, postage and other items. Greyhounds and pagan holidays are the main subjects right now.
Some of my ATCs
Here's a slideshow of some of the ATCs I have created
The ATCs are in various media, from handdrawn to digital art - but of course, they are all the same size!
So what do you think?
Do you like my ATCs? Like the digital but hate the hand drawn? Like the handdrawn but hate the digital? If you saw them for sale through eBay or Etsy, would you buy one? Feedback welcome!
Do you like my ATCs? Would you buy one?
Fetching blurbs now... please stand byI like them because - and I'd buy one if -
They're just not my thing
Color-Your-Own coloring pages blog
free printable coloring pages
This blog is devoted to the newest coloring pages or line art I have added at Color-Your-Own.com. They are free for personal use.
Fetching RSS feed... please stand byI love animals
All species of animals, pets, domestic, and wild!
One thing you can't help but notice about me is that I love animals. It's rare that I do not have a dog at my feet, and a cat in my lap. Not uncommon for me to have a horse following me around, or a hummingbird at the window to remind me their feeder is empty. Yes, I do love all the Gods and Goddess' creatures. When I'm not with animals - I am drawing them, or writing about them.
Naturally, that is reflected in the contents of many of my lenses. Like these:
- Pearlie the Psychic Kitty
- Crazy Old Cat Ladies
- The Legend of Beddgelert
- Living with a Deaf Cat
- Mustangs
- Lelaps, Hound of the Goddess
- 8 People Foods that are Pet Poisons
- Foxy, in Memoriam
- Talking about My Chicks
- Easter Pets
- Pets as Christmas Gifts
Most of these lenses give all or part of their income to an animal charity. Some of those articles overlap into my other interests - environmentalism, myth, paganism - but then, I think all things are related.
A few of my pets
I'm Green
One of those vegetarian, animal rights, environmentally aware, alternative energy type people
It's true - I was "green" before they called it "green". I've been recycling since back when you had to work really hard at finding someone who would TAKE your glass and aluminum (never mind plastic). I lived in a city for five years and never owned a car - rode my bike everywhere including back and forth to work. I became vegetarian over 20 years ago. So you will find "greenie" and vegetarian lenses among my collection, too. Like these:Overlapping
So there is going to be some overlapping in my lists of lenses, I just can't help it!
Spiritual, but not religious
You can call me Pagan

I am very spiritual, but not particularily attached to any one religion. I believe all gods (and goddesses) are one, the spirit of love. Love, Gratitude, and Service are the important things in this life.
For many years now I have considered myself a solitary, eclectic neopagan. The information I share with you here is gathered and distilled from books, articles, other webpages, other Pagans, meditations, visionary journeys, and listening to my inner voice. I am not a prophetess, priestess, or the direct channeled voice of the Goddess, nor do I wish for anyone to place me on such a pedestal.
I'm afraid of heights.
But most of all, I think there is too much of that sort of posturing in Paganism these days.
This is how I celebrate and live my religion. These are the reasons why. That is what I want to share with you. You may find a grain of wisdom or truth or just the right ritual to suit you here, and put it to use in your own life. You might not. And that doesn't mean that either of us is right, or wrong, but that what is right for me may or may not be right for you, and visa versa.
- I love Halloween - Samhain Not exactly fitting here, but...sorta
- Epona - Horse Goddess of the Gauls
- Why do spells work?
- Candle Magic
