Hi all, and welcome to my lens. I am creating this lens to show you some of the sunflower t-shirt designs I have been working on lately. Why sunflowers you ask? Well.....

I live in a small village in Thailand called Pattananikom. We are about 2 hours north of Bangkok. Pattananikom's main claim to a bit of fame is sunflowers. Every year starting in late October, huge crops of sunflowers start blooming here. People come from all over the world to see the vast fields of these beautiful flowers.

Lots of small shops and vendor stands pop up around the fields, as the locals try to make a few baht ( Thai money ) from the sunflower crops from the tourists. I was thinking about making a few t-shirts to try and sell at some of the stands next year, so I wanted to start working on designs now.

 So here are the designs I have so far. Most are of the sunflowers themselves, but a few are about Pattananikom and Thailand also. Please have a look, and tell me what you think. Any and all ideas or creative critiques are greatly appreciated. Enjoy!

Blue and Yellow 

This is one of my favorites. It's called "Blue and yellow". I made it in photoshop, with the Impressionist plug-in. I like the hazy outline. It still has all the great color but looks softer. You can see this on a t-shirt and all my other designs at Mobii Art T-shirts

I love Pattananikom 

It took me a while to get used to Pattananikom. I had become used to all those extravagant things in the USA, like hot running water. Haaaa! The place does kind of grow on you. It's very quiet here. Everyone pretty much goes to bed by 9pm it seems. But after teaching at one of the local private schools here last term, I feel a bit more relaxed and comfortable now. Just the occasional escape to Bangkok, and I think I will survive.

Sunflower group impression 

I am not sure how this would look on a t-shirt. It may look better on one of the book bags or something. I just added a few leaves to that photo you see in the first module, then tried to give it an impressionistic look. What do you think?
