Sunnydale is best known as the home to The Vampire Slayer, Buffy Summers and her demon slaying friends. Well, it was known as their home. It also was home to a Hellmouth, located underneath the high school. It was destroyed in 2003 (the Hellmouth and subsequently the town), but there is supposed to be another Hellmouth in Cleveland, Ohio.

This one, at 1630 Revello Drive, happens to be where Buffy Summers and her mother and sister lived.

Dingoes Ate My Baby was a local Sunnydale band that performed quite frequently in The Bronze. They were definitely hometown favorites, if not necessarily truly musically gifted. Xander Harris once said of the band that: "They don't know any actual chords yet, but they have really big amps."

The name of the band refers to the Azaria Chamberlain disappearance. The incident occurred in Australia in 1980 - a baby disappeared under mysterious circumstances near Uluru (Ayer's Rock). The mother, Lindy Chamberlain, camping with her family, claimed to have seen a dingo carrying her baby from their tent, and immortalised the phrase, "The dingo's got my baby!". She was convicted of murdering her baby but later acquitted when new evidence suggested that the baby was, in fact, killed by a dingo. Devon MacLeish was the lead singer, and Daniel 'Oz' Osbourne was the lead guitarist. Oz left town, and after that, "Dingoes Ate My Baby" didn't perform anymore. It is unknown at this time what may have happened to the band members. But, that is true for a lot of former Sunnydale residents.

The strange, mysterious, haunted, and seemingly serene small town of Sunnydale, California is now nothing more than a 10-mile-wide, 3-mile-deep crater as a result of the destruction of The Hellmouth by legendary vampire slayer Buffy Summers, along with her sister Dawn, Buffy's longtime watcher Rupert Giles, Xander Harris, Willow Rosenberg, Faith (the rogue slayer who once again found the right path), Principal Wood (formerly of Sunnydale High School), and the surviving members of "The Slayerettes". OH! And, of course, there was Andrew.
