Super Bowl Party 2009

My wife is a huge sports fan. In fact, more so than me. She's a great cook, mother and everything, but she does have an obsession with sports. Doesn't matter whether it's baseball, basketball or even footbally. She always want to have the sports news channel on all the time. I think the reason she loves sports so much is because she was brought up in Big 10 country - Iowa. But, come on, there's more to life than sports isn't there?

It's gotten really bad, especially since I can't watch anything else at night because she wants to watch the sports channels, like ESPN, Fox Sports, you name it. Finding out who won what game and how the scores went is really a big winner for her. She need sto know everything about her favorite tems and what the announcers are talking about, EVERYTHING. She's obviously a smart person having graduated from the University Of Iowa with a master's degree, but I find it a bit irriatating to keep hearing about sports, sports, sports.

Just the other day she heard about this big leigh steinberg super bowl party that's happening in Tampa, Florida. The event is supposed to the day before the Super Bowl. You remember Leigh Steinberg? Jerry Maguire ... Joe Montana, Steve Young. He's the big time sports attorney, sports agent who made millions negotiating for the top football superstars. She heard that this party is going to be THE part to be at. Boy, I'd love to go just to see the Cardinals beat the Steelers. I love underdogs ...

She also heard that Pure Play Music is a sponsor of super bowl party 2009. These guys seem to be doing some cool stuff. They've created a music social networking site that helps unsigned artists get known. In fact, I think they made a deal with Dixons Store Group to get these artists music onto 1 million MP3 players worldwide. And, their music is played in thousands of retail stores and theaters.

So, anyway, back to my dilemma. If sports wasn't enough, we live near a Universtiy stadium. Whenever the local school is playing, you can hear them blasting their horns and shouts a mile away. Who the heck needs to hear the sports news when you have a stadium so close by? Sports during the day, sports and night and sports in my dreams!
