I have always wondered why some people tend to achieve more than others. They just seem to be able to do better, they seem smarter, more organized, they seem to have more time and they seem to be able to accomplish their goals faster and more easier?

It really used to bug me, what is so special about them? Do they have some sort of advantage over the rest of us? Maybe they were born in well to do families which had money. Maybe, they had really great support systems?

And what people who just seem overly enthusiastic all the time? They are always in a great mood, and they always see the positive in every situation. No matter how hectic things get, they always look on the bright side of things?

I am one of those people!

I have not accomplished all that I want to accomplish in my life, but I have made great strides towards my goals and passions. I have done what seemed to be the impossible, and probably the most scary thing in my life. I have uncovered more confidence than I ever even thought was there.

I have since learned that I can do everything that I want, if I just think it and want it badly enough and be willing to make the sacrifice to get there. It is a great place to be . . .

And it is all because of the power that is in my mind. I have allowed that power to be unlocked, and it is slowly being released. I got tired of failing, of living a mediocre life.

I made a decision to start winning! I wanted a better life to the one I have, I was tired of being poor, tired of everyone else doing better than me. I am still a work in progress, I am nowhere near where I want to be, but every day is a step closer to where I know I am going.

I am on my way to fulfilling my destiny, my purpose and the best part of it, is I love every second of it. I am following my passion and I know I am becoming the success I was meant to be!

Are you Thinking on Auto Pilot?

The brain is a fascinating aspect of our bodies because so much of who we are is controlled there. It is common though to get caught up in a pattern of behavior when it comes to thinking. If you are doing it all on auto pilot then it is time to change the way you think! You will definitely get more out of life when you take such an approach. It will improve your relationships, your attitude, your work environment, and even how you feel about yourself.

It can be hard to really assess your thinking process when you are on auto pilot. Try to do so objectively though so you can see things in a new light. Think about something you do at home or work all the time. Now ask yourself why you do it that way. If the answer is because that is the way it has always been done, you aren't really thinking about it. Now that you have identified the situation, put some serious thought into the process. If there a better way that it can be done?

Relationships can be tricky as well as difficult. If you find some of them that you have to be stressful at times, you need to change your way of thinking. What is it about the relationship that doesn't flow well? Do you have the same conversation over and over again with your spouse, child, or other person in you life? Is the outcome always the same no matter what? If so, then it could be due to the fact that one of you or both of you is on auto pilot when it comes to your thinking.

If so, then why not try something new because obviously what you are doing now and what you have done in the past wasn't productive.

The work place environment is a great opportunity for you to change your way of thinking. Many people go to work each day, do their job, and go home. There is likely to be many areas of you job where you can do it differently with the same or better results. As you start to identify those areas, write them down. Present your plans to your boss and see if they are willing to allow you to try them. Most employers love to see employees taking such initiative.

When you make the conscious decision to change the way you think, you can remove many of the negative things around you from your life. You can focus your energy on the positive around you. Look for solutions that fit the situation instead of going on auto pilot and doing what you always have in the past. At first you will have to really think about it to make it work. However, it will soon become part of your regular behaviors that you engage in.

Other people will appreciate you more too because you will be giving them a fair chance to explore their own ideas. You won't be cutting them off with your automated response to their situation. As a result you will find that you are happier, you have less stress, and that your various relationships with others have improved. If you are thinking on auto pilot you may be getting several things done, but you are really only going through the motions with them.

You need to make sure you are fully exploring all your options. Don't just accept what is in front of you at face value. There is certainly much more out there being offered to you if you are receptive to it. Once you have made the choice to change this type of thinking, you will start to notice those opportunities more and more throughout your day.

How Do You Improve Your Memory?

The memory is very precious to us as it is a window to the events that have taken place in our lives. It can be frustrating though when you remember something that occurred 20 years ago but not what you need to pick up at the store this afternoon. May people wish that they could improve their memory. There are many ways of going about doing so rather than just being frustrated or upset over the situation.

Before we talk about how to improve your memory, we need to cover the ways in which materials are learned. As you hear new information or you are exposed to a new experience your mind has to decode what has been sent to you. It is going to interpret it in a given way. If you are focused on this aspect of things then your brain is going to file that information away.

It is as if you opened a file cabinet and dropped the information inside of it. When you are ready to retrieve that information your brain will pull it back up for you just like if you were to walk up to that file cabinet and take out the file you had previously placed inside of it.

You may remember earlier times when your memory was very sharp yet you took that for granted. The fact that we don't continue to exercise our brains and to look for new ways of thinking can lead to our skills not being as effective as they once were. Take a dancer for example. She may have spent years perfecting her moves but then stopped doing them. While she still knows about dancing she isn't going to be able to get out there and perform today as she was once able to when she practiced every day.

Pay attention to what goes on around you and you will improve your memory.

The problem is that when people are talking to us we may only be half listening. We may be focused on something else that needs to be taken care of. Learning to focus on what is going on now will help you to store it for retrieval later on.

Memories are precious, they serve as a diary of things that have happened in the past. Most people do not have as great a memory as they would like to have. You have probably experienced a situation where you get into a room, and not remember what you were going to do there, or maybe in the process of explaining something, you suddenly forget what you were going to say. It has happened to me before, and chances are it has happened to you also.

Your memory isn't something that you want to see weaken so it is important for you to engage in a variety of brain exercises.

There are basic memory games where you have to match two like things.

You can do this with a deck of cards or you can buy a memory game. Turning over two of them, if they are a match you get to remove them from the pile. If they don't match you turn them face down again. Then you turn over one more card. The objective is to remember what you see where so you can match up pairs with those cards that have been exposed so far. You can even play such games online by clicking your mouse to show what you want to turn over.

Association is a great way to improve your memory.

This type of scenario allows you to connect something new with something that is familiar. For example you can associate a person's name when you are introduced with something that is familiar to you. Then when you see them again that familiar thing will be triggered by your brain and you will remember their name as well as were you met them. This is a handy tool when you are continually meeting new individuals for business or socially.

Most of us really like some form of music, and so you can use what you are interested in to improve your memory.

As you sing along to the songs at home or in the car you would seem to know all of the lyrics right? Now try to write them down on a piece of paper without hearing the song. Changes are that key parts of it such as the chorus will be the most to stand out in your mind. Try to play the song in your mind from start to finish and to write down as may of the lyrics as you can. This is a fun way to improve your memory as well as to discover how much you really do know about the music you listen to.

It is important to focus on brain exercises that will challenge you, that will get your brain to engage, otherwise the exercises will be a waste of time. It is also equally important to find something that you like doing, so that you do not have excuses to not do it.

It can be a challenge to improve our memory with brain exercises. At the same time though it can really be a great deal of fun. Try to fit such activities into your daily schedule for at least 15 minutes. You will be surprised at how much more you remember.

It really is possible to improve your brain and make it more powerful. It will just take some effort on your part, but the rewards are well worth it!
