Put Away the Caftans!

Caftans can come in lovely patterns and designs; unfortunately they also come with a lot of stigma and stereotypes. They are meant for one thing... lounging around the house or pool.

Most plus size department and speciality stores will stop at 3X so that leaves anyone larger than that at a disadvantage clothes wise. It's hard to go out for a walk or otherwise participate in society when all you can find in your size is a pretty tent.

They have a wonderful assortment of tops, pants, dresses, swimwear (including a bikini), in sizes XL - 6x. Not all fashions are available in all sizes. They have about eight items that are 7x - 10x and have put them on their own page for convenience.

Owned and operated by Anne Kelly since 1995. They offer casual, sportswear, activewear for plus size women.

They offer tops, bottoms, jackets, outerwear, dresses, sleepwear, panties, bras (including a heavy duty sports bra) and swimwear,

Their clothing is offered in sizes 0x - 6x but not all clothing comes in all sizes (but lots does).

They have reasonable shipping rates for the U.S. and will ship internationally.

This plus size clothing company has been around since 1996. They offer plus size womens fashions in sizes 1x - 6x for casual and career wear.

Plus Size Women's fashion "made to order" in sizes 1X to 10X (read their sizing info carefully). There is a selection of casual and career tops, pants, skirts, leggings, jeans and sleepwear.

For slinky lovers there are a few of top, pant, skirt and dress options. They have a new eco-friendly line made with bamboo fabrics.

Orders can be made online or over the phone. Or you can request a paper catalogue (but why waste the trees). They ship within the U.S., Canada and overseas for reasonable rates.

With a new and improved website that is almost as lovely as their clothing, designer Peggy Lutz has definitely been the leader in larger sized formal wear since she opened her online doors.

You will find couture, evening wear, day to evening wear, cruise wear, and bridal dresses in sizes 12 - 36 but will make-to-order.

But it isn't cheap. Pieces are anywhere from a few hounder to a thousand dollars. But they are truly beautiful.
