STRESS!!! What stress? 

It Is A Part of Most People's Holidays

StressCompany parties, school concerts, kids on Christmas break, decorating the house and tree, church activities, fighting crowds and traffic to get your Christmas shopping done...WHAT STRESS?

This time of year stress seems to rear its ugly head a little more...ok...A LOT more. Maybe you are one of those rare few who knows exactly how to handle stress and you just get up every day with that "happy face" and get through the endless list of things to do. Most of us don't have that ability. We go to bed at night totally exhausted and stressed out, have a restless night of semi conscious sleep and drag ourselves out of bed the next day to do the same thing all over again. By the end of the holidays we are total basket cases. So how do we survive these times without having your family wanting to commit you?

Two things we don't want to do is take comfort in alcohol or over-eating. You may feel better at the time but the next day is a different story. It will make things worse and it will have no health benefits. Instead, make sure you take time everyday for yourself, away from the daily holiday tasks that need to be done. Exercise regularly, go to a quiet place and meditate or read your favorite book, use aromatherapy, go to lunch with a friend and get plenty of sleep every night.

Do I really Need Them?

You may feel like you are the picture of health but that doesn't mean you have certain deficiencies in your body. When we do get sick, have aches and pains or notice the signs of aging we usually grab over the counter medications or products that contain ingredients we wouldn't give to our worst enemies not to mention the dreaded side effects.

We all live a busy lifestyle. We don't have time to cook or fix foods that contain every ingredient we are suppose to consume from the food pyramid for optimal health. Instead we grab a burger at our favorite fast food joint or drink one of those "great tasting" energy drinks that make us feel like jumping out of our skin 15 minutes later. Bottom line...we just don't get all the nutrients we should in what we eat on a daily basis.

That's where nutritional supplements come in. Now I am not saying they will make you instantly healthy again. And I am not saying they should replace healthy nutritional eating. But they will help in replacing some of the deficiencies we have from eating foods lacking in nutrition. They also boost our immune system. Your body can resist disease better if you have a strong immune system. And finally, nutritional supplements can help get rid of the awful toxins we put in our bodies everyday.

So here it is...natural supplements are not a cure all for diseases, ailments, or sicknesses. They won't miraculously make you the picture of perfect health. But they will help you reach the optimum health you need to minimize the risk of certain diseases.
